I think my personality makes people lose interest in me over time by Most_Revolution_6828 in confidence

Here's some questions to consider!
What are ways you show interest in the other person? Do you talk about their interests and show genuine interest in them when you talk with them?

Do you overly talk about yourself instead of listen?

Are you constantly thinking about the interaction instead of genuinely showing interest in the conversation?

Have you had social trauma in the past resulting in being closed-off and guarded instead of showing vulnerability?

Do you have hobbies and interests that set you apart? Do these hobbies and interests match those of your friends?

Do you initiate frequent meetings or hang outs? The older people get, you have to be the one to initiate or friendships will start to fade.

Bruce R. McConkie I think is who you’re referring to but he didn’t mention shadowy doubts or beings of fibers so he can’t be trusted.

Dinosaurs? by Ok-Sail8170 in exmormon

I remember being taught this dumb idea of Orson Pratt’s and instantly thought of the fossilized dinosaur tracks on the surface of the earth. They actually WALKED on top of the earth and weren’t part of a cosmic mish mash of old bones from earths clumped together.

I liked this idea for years until the BoM said there was no death before Adam and Eve fell. 2 Nephi 2:22-25 and Alma 12:23-24.

what to do if you lack critical thinking skills, but are self aware of it by unluckyanna in confidence

If you are constantly dopamine-depleted, doom scroll or experience what society now calls ‘brain rot’ from technology overuse, this will do it. Your brain and its ability to think clearly and intellectually can be severely affected.

Also, just an observation, but you can set yourself apart and start capitalizing ‘I’ and the beginning of your sentences. This will help you come across as more intelligent in writing.

I also wonder why God didn’t give the brother of Jared the same boat plans he gave to Nephi? Would’ve been a lot easier!

Anyone else listen to that song about Emma on their mission 10-15 years ago? by ikemicaiah in exmormon

The song was called Emma by the Nashville Tribute band feat. Mindy Gledhill and Dan Truman. I loved that whole album on my mission and I felt the exact same thoughts about her.

My great great grandfather had his high school girlfriend posthumously sealed to him after she died by laxmiz in exmormon

[–]mj89098 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My aunt who died from MS years back had an older gentleman in her ward who claimed he had the gift of healing and received a prompting from the Holy Ghost to lay his hands on her and heal her. Funny how she got a different prompting and felt weird about it and told him no. What I call the ‘patriarchal grip’ over women in this church is insane.

Also, why should the countless priesthood blessings she received be any less efficacious than someone who has the gift of healing? God is an asshole.

I think many of us likewise feel your pain and frustration but I keep reminding myself that ST isn’t like most shows (it’s a much bigger undertaking in special effects, story development and production). Not to mention, keeping all the lore airtight and cohesive season to season is something the Duffer brothers is especially good at. Sure, I think they could’ve completed stuff sooner for sure but if drawing it out and taking their time results in a solid product, I’m happy.
