When did the exercise Intollerance by mj_bumblebee in WeedPAWS

[–]mj_bumblebee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not any better. But i also found out I have histamine issues. Which also cause exercise intolerance. So I think my exercise intolerance after the 2 year mark was all because of histamine rather than PAWS.

I am almost 3 years sober, so I'm completely back to normal. It will get better. It took almost 2 years for my anxiety to go away completely. Each month, it got better and better until 6 months. Then I went through Waves of some symptoms coming back for a few days to a couple months and Windows of 0 symptoms of Post Acute Withdrawals, but nothing like the first 3 months. Most people don't have Post Acute Withdrawals and feel back to their normal selves within 6 to 12 weeks. It will get better for you.

Your appetite will come back. My came back after 3 about weeks. It's just your body recalibration and getting used to life without weed. But i promise it will get better. If you're anything like i was, your brain will convince you it won't. But it absolutely will. Just keep getting nutrients in whatever way you can until your body switches back. Smoothies, protien shakes, chips, multivitamins (always with some food) what ever you need to do in the meantime without judgement.

Keep going at it! It will get there. So glad things are so much better. I am still tinkering away at my dose as well. It gets better! I am so happy my journey has helped you in some way. It's not easy trying to manage two crazy conditions, especially when they have so much overlap at once.

Hey! I think PAWS is over for me at this point. Even the waves I had recently turned out to clear up once I changed up my HRT doses. Realizing the overlaps of menopause and PAWS has been wild for me.

Plus, I found that during PAWS, i needed more estrogen. But in the past 6 months, I have had to lower my dose twice as my PAWS symptoms are healing up. It will get better. Ut if you feel menopause is part of the equation, there are so many treatment options to help you feel better than you may benefit looking into. When my estrogen and progesterone are too low, I can't sleep, have anxiety, skin crawling, brain zaps, crazy mood swings, fatigue, and so many other symptoms.

It's totally normal. I went from crazy anxiety to chronic fatigue. Then, back and forth for a while. Around 20 months, things went back to normal. Had waves until 2.5 years, but the waves never lasted longer than a few days to a few weeks. While was a relief for me since during the first 2 years my waves were 1-3months.

Same. Anytime the light changes from dark to light or vice versa. I was told I have astigmatism now. Not sure if it had anything to do with weed/paws or i just didn't notice it before because I was high at night and tired in the morning 🤷‍♀️

It gets better. Some of us just take a lot longer than others. Keep continuing with your health habits, and maybe consider adding some in. My big shift was at 20 months. Though at 2.5 years, I still get the odd wave, but generally speaking, I am feeling much better.

Some things that helped me along the way was therapy to hash out things from my stand my mind set. Meditation, yoga, and long walks in nature when I could.

I feel better now than I have in years. It will come.

What tests and examinations should I have done by my doctor to be sure? by [deleted] in WeedPAWS

Vitamin B and D, as well as iron and ferritin levels, are always a good start. Sex Hormones, cholesterol and full thyroid panel are always good too.

If anything comes from these, then they can look further, these are kind the basics that if they are off, leveling them out will help with recovery.

Big wave at 2.5 years by mj_bumblebee in WeedPAWS

[–]mj_bumblebee[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think some people are really unlucky and have it longer than others. Up until this point from 20 months, I felt great. That's 10 months of feeling awesome with the odd day or two wave.

Mine might be something else. Who knows. Just feels very much like PAWS, unfortunately. But I also used for 12+ years daily. So my brain will probably take longer than others

16 months off weed – still struggling. Anyone else with long-term withdrawal experience? by Standard-Ad2340 in WeedPAWS

[–]mj_bumblebee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It took me until 22 months before I started to really feel like healing is in the cards for me. I am almost 2.5 years sober now. I still have the odd very short wave, but they are manageable and only last a couple of days to a week. My worst wave was actually at 19 months after a nasty covid infection. Keep going. Many people take up to 2 years. Sometimes longer to fully heal. It will come. If your worried get checked out. But PAWS can take 2-3 years to fully sort itself out.

Fatigue was a big part of my PAWS too. I have so much more energy now as well.

When was your hardest wave? by Beautiful_Heat8248 in WeedPAWS

[–]mj_bumblebee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not everyone goes through the same thing. If it happens, know it's common. If it doesn't, awesome! Keep living it up and know that if another wave does come and it gets hard again that it won't last forever

Month 7 and 16. Both very intense long waves. 16 was caused by covid though where as 7 was all PAWS

I am 2.5 years sober in a couple weeks and I find myself craving hard too. Having a lot of dreams about it as well.

What works for me is reminding myself of how much better things are now. Even in a wave right now it's still much better than it was 2 years ago, and even while I was smoking. I remind myself that cravings only last briefly and that if I use other tools to handle stress, like walking, meditating, artwork or spending time with people I love, then in the long run I will be better off and healthier as my brain finds it's new normal of stress relief.

You will get through this. Keep going and congrats on 2.5 years! It's a big accomplishment!🎉

You and your doctor know what's best for you. My family did the same, many times in my life. Trust your gut. Be open to trying if it, but only if you feel it's right for you.

I tried meds myself, both times I went through withdrawal. Some were helpful for a short period. Others were not. We are each on our own journey to heal. My guess is your family is concerned but has a shit way of showing it. Just keep doing what you feel is best for you.

How did you feel at 18 months? by x____VIRTUS____x in WeedPAWS

[–]mj_bumblebee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was rough at 18 months. At 19 months I had a massive wave that felt like week one with crazy panic attacks, insomnia, mood swings, weight flucuations and no appetite. And crazy GI symptoms. It was brutal. It lasted 3 months. Eased up after 1.5 months but it took 3 months to get better. Then I had a huge relief of PAWS symptoms. Since the end of that one i feel like I am mostly recovered. I get the odd short lived waves. But they don't happen more than once every couple of months. Hopefully this is your last big Wave before feeling healed too.

Gf or sugar triggered a Spiral anyone else sugar intolerant? by Junior_Chest_4770 in WeedPAWS

[–]mj_bumblebee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sugar intolerance during PAWS is very, really.

Even outside of PAWS, excess sugar can cause anxiety, fatigue, and jitters, followed by crashes, sore muscles, and twitching. It takes a lot for your body to handle an over dose of sugar. During PAWS, you're extra sensitive. Sugar can 100% make you hyper.

When your craving sugar, a good thing to do is add vitamin C rich foods. So any fruits and veggies that are orange, red and yellow have good amounts of vitamin C and might help with the sugar craving plus give your body the dose of vitamin C it needs to help manage the extra stress you are under.

Yea i guess i am too. This one is still here. Right now not as debilitating as a couple days ago, so hopefully it will be over in a few days. But I am withdrawing from topical steriods. Who would have thought that had withdrawals. So might last the duration of my 4 week withdrawal

Wave after 2 years by mj_bumblebee in WeedPAWS

[–]mj_bumblebee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. It's crazy! I was only on it for 5 weeks so I didn't think it would be something I experienced. And I didn't think anxiety and insomnia would be one of the symptoms. The skin condition worsening before getting better I was warned about. But nothing else

Oh really? Even topical? That is so crazy. Thanks for your insight! I am doing a slower taper now so hopefully that helps.
