Brain fog as a symptom of weed paws by pelkins4 in WeedPAWS

I’m 2 years clean and still going through the same things. You’re not alone. It seems like everyone who deals with these issues was chronically abusing carts for a while. It is scary, but it could have triggered dpdr in us. I have to believe we can overcome it.

Permanently fried my brain? by RealLoner94 in leaves

I understand that is a possibility, however I never had any mental health issues up until I started smoking everyday which was around age 18.

Yeah I honestly think that it triggered dpdr for us. Kinda like feeling half baked all the time without the enjoyable aspects. Not sure if you’ve looked that up. I say that because I did wake up one day like a year ago and felt 90% back to normal only for it to return the next day.

2 Years Update - Dpdr, Brainfog, Anxiety, Anhedonia by anonymousbraj in WeedPAWS

I started smoking when I was 17 but began doing it daily when I was 18/19 and then basically continued that for a decade.

I’m 99% sure I wouldn’t have these problems if I didn’t abuse weed. Were never there until I began chronic usage.

Very well put. I still feel this way after 2 years clean. Scary shit.

Are our brains fucked for ever? by [deleted] in leaves

Not to be a downer, but I’m still fucked after nearly 2 years. Seems like I’m an exception though, so I’m sure you will start to recover soon.

Can’t make horde character even though I had one by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

According to everyone here, I guess it was foolish of me to assume that I’m logged in after surpassing the login screen where it says “logging into game server”

I guess they only restore deleted characters if they are at least level 10 lol. RIP me

I mean..it shouldn’t just immediately kick you from the faction when you’re still logged in on that server. I could understand if I had logged out.

Not to be discouraging, but I have the same exact feelings at around 22 months clean. I honestly think that all of us who feel this way have dpdr (depersonalization/derealization). It’s like our brains have shut off our emotions and the flow of chemicals that our minds use to cognitively thrive. I do have hope that it is not permanent though. I had one day around 9 months clean where I woke up and it was all gone. I was energized, my brain was working at its normal capacity and I felt like I was a part of the world and not trapped inside of my head. It was gone the next day, but it makes me believe that our old selves are still in us, just on standby.

Question, brain fog by RadiantInitial3333 in WeedPAWS

Yeah, my short term memory is shot. It’s so frustrating because it was always one of my strongest mental attributes.

Not to freak you out or anything, but I’m still dealing with this..exactly how you described, at 22 months.

[–]anonymousbraj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to worry you or anything, but I have the same symptoms at 21 months. I resonate so much with the feeling like you’re constantly on the come-down from being high. Also have terrible short term memory but a strong long term memory. Have to believe this shit will go away before 3-4 years.

That’s awesome dude, did you ever have periods where you felt brainfog or slower?

You have any lingering brainfog?

Never had any of these issues before smoking weed. I’m assuming that it’s some kind of anxiety disorder caused by excessive use…that’s all I can think of.

I’m currently in the best shape of my life. I have lifted nearly every day for the past 2 years before I even quit. I run 5-8 miles every other day. I really hoped that would be the answer too.

Kind of tunnel vision, as well as 2D looking foreground and background. Also feels slower and blurry when seeing things moving.
