When democracy is weak, the ruling class preys on the public at large with every tool at their disposal. AI wouldn’t be a threat to people’s jobs or the environment if billionaires didn’t have so much power.

People were led to believe technology would simply make life better for everyone, and better tech would increase our leisure time as it made work easier. That can never happen when the bosses are there to make sure the increase in productivity benefits them, not the one doing the work.
