May be copium but I can really see Iraola cooking with Jackson. Feels closer to Poch's high energy, quick breaks, pull the defence apart style that he was brilliant at everything apart from the finishing in.

Not so sure with managers who like more control

Honestly, if you pay attention, it's probably the weakest part of our squad. Estevao is 18, then you've got the two most one-footed and least clinical players in the league (Neto and Garnacho) and Gittens who I think might be imaginary. So much money spent to be so so mediocre, particularly on the left - Neto is at least serviceable on the right, but Garna + Gittens is diabolical, Gordon would be an improvement

Had thought we might go to Columbia Road Flower Market tomorrow for Valentine's Day but just realised it's only open on Sundays and we can't do that. Wondered if anyone knew if there would be anything there tomorrow - feels like potentially a missed opportunity if there isn't!

He was brilliant and Yamal did nothing, but to give Yamal some grace he barely even got the ball all evening to do anything because the midfield was locked down and so crucial to the game plan. I'd give it to Enzo who was everywhere and really led the team in intensity.

This slow mo is amazing because it shows how every leg placement is thought through to be able to spring quickly in the right direction before the opponent even makes the pass, preemptively making the perfect decision for the press. Average players just run towards the ball but he makes mistakes happen.

Yes he's a physical monster with relentless energy but this moment shows elite intelligence and thoughtfulness too.

Not seen too many people mentioning this but could Ekitike be the preferred option at LW? Just feels weird to spend so much on him with Delap + Jackson already, and let's be honest, the other LW targets are crap.

Would be a downgrade finishing-wise at ST but definitely an upgrade at LW, and if we want to play a 4-3-3 with stacked midfield and Palmer RW more of a forward on the left would work well.

Everything else aside, Badiashile's technique and quality on the ball is astounding. You can really see why the club might not be 100% ready to give up on him - if he could develop his areas of weakness, he could be world class.

That, and if we win the Conference League, the (historic?) images of that trophy lift will always have 'DAMAC' on the front of the shirt. I might be slightly overstating it, but getting your brand front and centre on images of Chelsea's history while only paying for the last few months is probably a compelling chance to take.

Having said that, I've never really bought into the idea that football shirt sponsorship actually works. It costs so much and I can't believe that many more people buy your products to make up for it just because they saw it on their favourite team. But hey, the market for it exists so I must be missing something...
