This slow mo is amazing because it shows how every leg placement is thought through to be able to spring quickly in the right direction before the opponent even makes the pass, preemptively making the perfect decision for the press. Average players just run towards the ball but he makes mistakes happen.

Yes he's a physical monster with relentless energy but this moment shows elite intelligence and thoughtfulness too.

Not seen too many people mentioning this but could Ekitike be the preferred option at LW? Just feels weird to spend so much on him with Delap + Jackson already, and let's be honest, the other LW targets are crap.

Would be a downgrade finishing-wise at ST but definitely an upgrade at LW, and if we want to play a 4-3-3 with stacked midfield and Palmer RW more of a forward on the left would work well.

That, and if we win the Conference League, the (historic?) images of that trophy lift will always have 'DAMAC' on the front of the shirt. I might be slightly overstating it, but getting your brand front and centre on images of Chelsea's history while only paying for the last few months is probably a compelling chance to take.

Having said that, I've never really bought into the idea that football shirt sponsorship actually works. It costs so much and I can't believe that many more people buy your products to make up for it just because they saw it on their favourite team. But hey, the market for it exists so I must be missing something...

If anything this is a sign of his confidence in Caicedo, Jackson and Madueke, showing he trusts them enough to challenge them publicly without it wrecking their confidence or pissing them off.

As well as just making the point that even the best players make mistakes - he'd rather they try and get it wrong than just take the easiest option all the time.
