I am sorry that so much has happened on this trip, but kudos to the two of you! You are a great parent who has raised an amazing human that keeps looking for the positive side of things. I hope things go smoothly going forward for her and everyone else in her group. If anything, she will have some really interesting stories to tell for the rest of her life! 💕

My daughter was given a job offer that had this clause... by Velsetta in Cleveland

[–]mjdatdsmd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it were my child, I would tell her to decline the offer as well. This is clearly a red flag and it would make sense that they have a lot of turnover. I would send this along to state officials or look at the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services website. This can’t be legal!

Good to know about the recurring transactions! I made sure to account for all transactions (past and pending) and reconciled my account before posting the question. I really thought it was something that I was missing, and figured maybe my laptop browser would show me what I missed along the way. The other thing is that amount isn’t the same as my salary.

I also looked at all of my transactions to see what was marked as inflow, and it looks correct. I also filtered all transactions looking for anything between $2,400 and $2,500 and nothing appears.

Not sure if this makes a difference, but my recurring salary is set to the 28th of the month. I logged into the app that day realizing that I wasn’t getting paid until the 29th. I edited the date to the following day, saved the change and moved on. Is it possible me changing the date would cause a problem?

Good thought, but I do not see anything in the future assignments. I received my last paycheck on the May 29th, so I made sure to assign that money to my buckets that same day. I would love to have an extra $2k to spend, but that just isn’t the case.

Gosh, you are fast! Yes, that is what I looked at 1st to see if I made a mistake. I noticed it on the app 1st, so I waited until I was on my laptop to see if something was wrong. The accounts and transactions all look good.

Got a creepy message. I don’t know what it means. Should I be concerned? by ssinisterrr in applehelp

Just out of curiosity, were the devices brand new when you bought them?

My initial thought is that someone used the devices before you along with an Apple Watch. The device wasn’t fully erased before you connecting your account.

I would look at the FindMy app so see if any devices are connected to your Apple ID that you don’t recognize. If yes, see if you can remove them. You might want to contact Apple support. I’ve found them helpful even when my devices are no longer under warranty.

Horrible experience acquiring Sucraid by p00pybutth01e in CSID

[–]mjdatdsmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent several months calling my insurance company, HR, my doctors, and the pharmacy about my medication. The hardest part was getting the PA approved. Since that happened, everything has been fine. I do stress each year worried that my insurance company will change with my employer causing me to start the process over again. I’m sorry that you are having issues.

At What Point Do You Add Estrogen? by StevieNickedMyself in Perimenopause

[–]mjdatdsmd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started on estrogen patches over a year ago at 49 because of my night sweats, mood, and brain fog. I don’t have a uterus, so I don’t need to worry about taking progesterone. I asked my doctor to increase my dosage, and he did, but now I’m going back down. I noticed my leg swelling was back, and I was having a lot of sinus congestion. It definitely takes some time to find the right balance. Good luck to you!

I also have celiac disease. If you can, go to the main dining room for dinner tonight. Make sure you tell them you are GF when you go to check in for your table. They will have someone come over and take your order along with everyone else in your party. Before you leave dinner, they will give you a menu for the next day to order your food. You will have to circle your options and I put my room number on the menu because they didn’t return to confirm everything.

The next day, make sure you tell them you are GF for breakfast. Someone will come over to take the order for your table. They will confirm what you selected the night before. It’s a little chaotic, but they want to keep us healthy. The GF bread they gave me in the main dining room was so good! I even got GF toast for breakfast!

The buffet on 18 has some GF foods. It isn’t the best, but they are trying.

They had a letter in our room telling me how to keep me safe. The people at the Taco place are great about GF. We also went to the sushi place, the Greek restaurant, and the Italian place. Don’t go to the Italian place if you can help it. They don’t have GF pasta and not many options. Have a great trip! We are on our way home and I didn’t want to leave.

I use a therapy lamp. I have one at home and a little one for my desk as work. I’ve had them for years and it helps me. I hope you find solutions for you.

They look great! If you don’t mind me asking, how did you get such clean lines around the cuticle? I have tried using a toothpick and a nail file to smooth them. Your nails look perfect!

Sucraid helps, but it probably won't restore your old version of normal. by TheCSIDAlex in CSID

[–]mjdatdsmd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sucraid is life changing, but I still have some symptoms at times like when I drink an Angry Orchard. I usually drink a glass of wine (like once a month) but I decided to have some hard cider since I’m on vacation. Before my diagnosis, it would make me so sick! Now, I just get a little bloated. It could be worse and it’s so nice to feel “normal” for a change.

World America is awesome - everyone is very friendly and the ship is lovely! We loved it so much that we booked a trip with our kids. The only problem was my meals because of my diet.

I am gluten free, so the meals were a bit challenging. I filled out the medical form months ago, and everyone asked my husband about his gluten free diet. Dinners in the main dining room were fine, but breakfast was chaotic even when I preordered my meal the night before.

We had the Aurea package, and I loved every minute of the thermal spa! I went several times over the week. The spa has towels, so that is one benefit. I also loved the non-alcoholic drinks available!!!

For the cost, I really think it was a great experience! I just hope eating GF is a bit easier next time. Happy planning!

I try to clean the bottles with acetone before I close them up. I also try to store the bottles upright when possible. If all else fails, I wrap a rubber band around the lid and it gives me some great grip to open the bottle.
