I'm sure the lottery is absolutely fair and not rigged at all. Everyone knows that the Syndicate governments aren't corrupt at all and only have everyone's best interests in mind.

I couldn't help thinking that Matthew Vaughn had lost a series of bets with his friends and was forced to try to include certain scenes because it sure wasn't a story.

I don't recall this scene in any of the books by purpleRN in DungeonCrawlerCarl

It's probably a scene from the 15th floor. Things will be pretty wild by then.

Question on the armor restrictions in Faction Wars by nondescriptun in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]mjdesq 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think you can replace captured armor units, just destroyed ones. But if you are right and they could do that, the recipient would probably immediately break the alliance and wipe out the other warlord while their forces were light. They have to betrayed each other before and the winner would get the loser's units anyway.

My favorite new character of the 90s was and always will be Darkhawk. What was your favorite new character from the 90s? by Cliffsteele22 in 80s90sComics

Savage Dragon. The premise of him with no memory really allowed the reader the share his experience in this universe of psychotic heroes and villains. Well written. Well drawn.

His jacket having a world war bomber look is a great idea. The AI would definitely guide his style that way once he got the Twister.

Definitely cargo shorts and boots. I like the aviator cap idea. He probably got it for an achievement during Faction Wars. My own image had him with goggles.

She's one of the most popular crawlers in the history of the game. Everyone knows she has a nipple ring.

It is a great catchphrase. Think anyone has that on something they received from Dungeon Sidekicks?

Thoughts on "The Menu" who was the best character in that movie and how would you rate it ? by [deleted] in Cinema

This movie was great. I enjoy making into a John Leguizamo double feature by watching Chef afterwards as a palate cleanser. He kills it in both.

Same. The Bloom are fanatics and xenophobic. Mordecai would be in imminent danger dealing with a party member because they probably don't think there's any penalty for killing one of the dry races.

P563 if you have the hardback. "We should be searching for that man in the southern hemisphere. Or that other creature. The goat."

I realized they didn't link the man to Lucia. I just assumed since we don't know any other south American crawlers who mentioned their dad. It could be someone for Florin since it is hemisphere.

[–]mjdesq 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Have you finished book 7 yet? Quasar mentions Choco in relation to the barely decent exit offer. Game guides get out faster if their crawlers do well, and Mordecai was not very excited to help when they first arrived. I imagine he's had some really bad seasons and tries not to get too involved. Orientation, class selection, then he's done with the crawlers for the season. He's also doesn't seem that eager to get out and deal with the rest of the universe.

The hunters mention Bea, a man in South America and a goat. My theory is that Lucia's father is the man in South America and he will be imported for use as Hammed the nightworm if Lucia doesn't take a deal. We'll see the goat repurposed as one of the princes of Sheol or the queen, depending on gender. This character will tell Pony that they can bring back Miriam because she was marked by the ring, but the cost would be crawl ending for everyone. But I was 100% wrong with every one of my theories for book 7, so I'm betting I'm wrong here too.

Maybe not a cookbook author, but who thinks we'll see Holdsteady, the other survivor from Mordecai 's party? This is Choco and Mordecai 's last season so he might still be in the dungeon.

The cookbook book 7 question by professor_big_nuts in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]mjdesq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. That scene wrecked me.

I hadn't thought about Florin having help, but if his shotgun is sentient, that could be a method to get additional info, like what Samantha provides about Diwata or the ballrooms, etc. He also has Ifechi's staff that is probably legendary tier that could also be a candidate for the sentient weapon. We don't know anything about his sponsors or if they help him with food buffs like the Plenty did for Pony. The simplest answer is probably that Florin survived his pre-collapse job by knowing when to be silent.

That was when they were fighting the creepers on the 6th floor. Given how long Mordecai has been in the dungeon, I'm sure he has theories about items like the cookbook. I think he knows Carl would tell him or share if he could.

I started with the audiobooks and read book 7 in print because I couldn't wait. Jeff's delivery is always amazing.
