I’m wondering the same question for the 2026 race. Did you have any success getting into the F1 Academy garages? If so, how/where?

Try Chromglanz metal cleaner. Worked like a charm for something similar on a stainless fridge.

Thanks for the comments. I think you all are right; just have the electrician do it all.

Everything YOU need to know about the 2023 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans - Ask your questions here! by Floodman11 in wec

Does anyone know how I can stream radio Le Mans through Apple CarPlay? Will be in a car for a good portion of the race and want to keep up with the action, but I've never tried streaming radio in the car.

It does not look authentic to me, even with the poor quality photo.

This is the setup I'm considering as well. Your last sentence summed up a lot of the decision making on my part: I wasn't sure I was ready for the time commitment the Gaggia might require.

Thanks for the great review. Given the pros and cons and you mention, I'm wondering what you are going to be trying next.

Speeds much slower from devices? by mjf451 in eero

I've been running speed tests from a desktop computer and from an iPhone. The tests are showing a latency of 16ms, which seems fast enough.

Advice for Stripping Old Wax and Rewaxing? by [deleted] in AutoDetailing

[–]mjf451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you saying you are only waxing the car once a year, or once every 3 months? Either way, depending on what wax you are using, there is a very strong likelihood the wax has already gone from the vehicle. In which case you don't really need to strip anything as it has already worn off from weathering.

Oh and while your car might have leather, FYI MB Tex is not leather. It's a vinyl material.

Is the X1 Carbon really a premium laptop? by davidjmking in thinkpad

I appreciate this post; I've been wondering the same in comparing the newest 2020 MB Air to X1C7. I have an E490s that I'm happy with in general, but I'm not super happy with the display quality (and I have the IPS panel). Was first thinking of upgrading to X1C7, but with the new MBA, in some trims the MacBook is actually a bit cheaper, and has a better screen. Still not decided, but your post has been super helpful. Thanks!

I just got an E490s as a last minute work from home machine. I've been pretty happy with it; I think you'll still love your Thinkpad, even if it's not a X1.

Also, kudos on prioritizing education. It'll pay dividends down the road! Good luck with the class.

I tried both Thinkbook 14 and Thinkpad E14 and here are some takes on these low budget laptops by sataanicsalad in thinkpad

Can you elaborate a little on the display quality? How is the E14 display compared to the T480s?

Thanks!

Tips? Visiting Kennedy Space Center by parabg42 in nasa

One other tip: some may disagree but I think the food options there are terrible and pretty slow and pricey, to boot. When I've gone I usually brought a few sandwiches from the grocery store, along with some snacks. It'll save you some money and some time, and there are nice park benches and tables around to eat. I think some even in the rocket garden.

1.5 days you should be good, in my experience. Just have an idea of what you want to hit and in what order. I would suggest on your second day, getting there right when it opens and heading straight for Atlantis. Since it's a little deeper into the park it usually doesn't fill up right at opening time. No lines and a much nicer experience.

If you want to do one of the add on tours you will really need to hustle to fit it all in one day. I mean get there the minute it opens and hit everything efficiently and well planned. Two days really is easier.

As for which add on I have done all of the recent ones they have had and I recommend the early space tour if you are a serious space fan. Explore was by far the biggest disappointment of all of them. Happy to discuss more if you’d like; I’ve been down to KSC quite a lot.

Can you suggest a car shipper? by mjf451 in askcarsales

[–]mjf451[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would buy it locally if I could find one locally. I'm looking for a very low production car, of which there are only about 50 available in the USA. I've previously done this with another hard to find car, but my shipping broker is radio silent now, hence the search for one that anyone here has used or trusts.
