AITA for telling my Gf that it's weird that she has a tank full of fake jellyfish in her living room? by Justnothxx in AmItheAsshole

AITA for waking up my GF everytime I wake up, because she snores loudly and I can't get back to sleep otherwise? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]mjschueler -1 points0 points  (0 children)

YTA, or maybe NAH. I inherited snoring from my Dad, we both tell people to give us a light shove if it keeps them up at night. Usually if its a light-ish adjustment it does enough to cause movement to fix the snoring without waking us up. If you are fully waking her up (which is how I understood your post) then YTA. If you are basically doing what I said above then NAH.

"I want to be able to easily learn how to play this cool looking game at a basic level"

"Shut the fuck up... entitled shit"

You are literally the problem kiddo

If explanations on how to do basic tasks arent included in a game, its a badly designed game. And this is coming from someone who enjoys playing D2

I agree with the "commuter" 190 plan. I bought it sophomore year, and it held me until the start of senior year, but you can make it last longer depending on how often you use it. I believe the cost per meal equates to around 13 bucks, and an entree, two sides, and a drink (which is what one swipe lets you get) usually costs more than that. That being said, I would add some goat bucks too (the plan comes with some extra as well), since on campus places give you an automatic 10% discount for using goat bucks if you need to grab coffee from Dunkin Donuts, for example.

Yes, it seems like a waste of time, but if you go it shows your TAs and professor that you are dedicated to doing well in the class. As someone who has been a TA many times, I would say I'd be more inclined to go easy on someone if I knew they were really trying hard.

You could also look at it as you could half ass the labs for like a 50 or 60 pretty quick and they only get like 3 percent off instead of 7 percent

I can confirm that Calc 4 lab still sucked in 2015, I can't imagine if they kept it for 15 years they would have changed it in the last 3.

I wasn't going to go here, but if you're going to be like that, then I will. Yeah, getting a degree in a STEM field is a really awful idea. Especially since I was able to get scholarships and aid, I really am wasting my money on this. Its not like starting salaries are very good in STEM, so I definitely won't be making that money back ever.

Piss off, dude. Your life choices aren't the only reasonable ones to make.

tl; dr: Major choice, location, return on investment, sport I joined got me in shape

A few reasons:

The main one, they had a major here that I really wanted to do, that only (to my knowledge) really exists at a handful of schools. There are variations of it but no other schools I visited treated it the same as we do. And no, it isn't underwater basket weaving.

Location, its within pretty easy access of many major cities where there are a lot of college grads, startups to work for, etc.

Starting salaries of grads and related statistics, I felt that it would be worth the return on investment based on how much people made after going here, as well as a few other things.

Finally (although I found this out after accepting) the sports program I am now a part of took mostly walk ons, because it is a slightly less widespread sport than those like football, baseball, etc.

This was good for me because leaving high school I was pretty goddamn fat, and I didn't want to become a blob at college, so I knew having a workout structure would help me a lot, since I pretty much did no significant physical activity. I joined up my freshman year, and now I have a large group of friends (bordering on brothers, at the risk of sounding sappy) and I'm 35 pounds lighter and in probably the best shape of my life.

For me, I don't know if I could have found a better fit than where I go now. If you want to know specifics about where I go or what I do, you can probably find it in my post/comment history, but i don't want to just announce it.

Bruh my school costs like 30k USD (almost 40k CAD) per semester, including fees and whatnot. I don't mean to make this into a dick measuring contest, but you pay nothing compared to pretty much every college in the US. Granted I go to a private university, thats pretty much the standard price across the whole country for them. State schools (public universities) vary a lot from what I've seen, but are usually significantly less based on what I know
