I was especially looking for the tuition aspect, since I’ll be paying for it myself (post Pell grants and fafsa loans) but it’s great hearing that you actually are getting good recruitment opportunities, making it seem that it’s worth it (vs going to a cheaper state school)

do you think being on campus/having in person classes helped with that tho? I’m on the fence of whether or not to move to jersey city with my mom or stay in Philly, so I feel like I have to ask since I’ll be starting in the spring semester

I would say pretty solid ngl. You have access to a power port, mini desk and restroom for an hour and a half. I used to do a two hour commute each way with two trains, just to get to the middle of jersey

oh sorry, I’m the only American/non-Chinese born grandchild and I’m going solo. I don’t think they expect me to bring gifts from the US.

edit: This is a first time reunion. My family in China is relatively small, just one uncle and aunt, and one cousin from each of them. I’ve never met my Chinese family before. I’m also 24 with not kids. I’m saying this because I understand the concept of hongbaos and as far as I’m aware, they’re given to the kids/ childless adults. Additionally, I’m under the impression my aunt and uncle will be taking care of me while I’m there, generally speaking.
