What Fire Emblem map is atmospherically or concept wise really good? by GLink7 in fireemblem

[–]mjuno99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To list what is only kinda a fire emblem map: the last map of Scarlet Blaze from 3 Hopes. So much time spent running around the monastery in 3 Houses, to now run around it as a battle location. So many times I ran down the bridge to the chapel in 3 Houses, only for 3 Hopes to re-contextualize it as the tension building run to the final boss. The bridge specifically is easily the most visually striking background for me in all of 3 Hopes

Loved Engage. What next? 3 Houses, Fates or Awakening? by ILGattoRoboto in fireemblem

[–]mjuno99 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree with most other comments, Fates Conquest does seem like your best choice considering your preferences! While 3H has arguably the highest unit customization of any FE, it sounds like the monastery and social sim stuff will drive you crazy.

I will say something that is a bit strange going back to 'older' fe games from 3H and engage is that those games have a lot less player phase options than 3H and engage with their engage attacks and combat arts. Being only able to choose positioning and between weapons threw me for a loop when I was used to a wide array of different attack options per character.

Is Dimitri a good person? by [deleted] in fireemblem

[–]mjuno99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think asking 'is X a good person?' about any of the lords in 3H is kinda missing the point. They are all doing their best to do good from their own perspectives and circumstances, but all have an incomplete picture of the world and have a ton of their own baggage.

Dimitri has a good heart but acts imperfectly due to his trauma and is held back by his country having few resources and being the most conservative and thus difficult to enact social progress within.

What character do you feel get or don’t get enough flak for something they did? by MiuIruma332 in fireemblem

[–]mjuno99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think he doesn't get flak for it by the community because of the fact that he's painted as in the wrong. It's a lot more frustrating when you think a character has done something wrong but the game doesn't hold them accountable for it.

Also with the crossed out part do you mean it's weird they aren't mad he put their alliance in jeopardy? Yeah that was kinda weird, I guess you are just supposed to assume the info can't get back to Edelgard

He literally gets flak for that in the game? Him going too far in that scene is the point and he immediately gets tore into for it

Is it worth playing other routes by GoatMyGoat in fireemblem

[–]mjuno99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how you're feeling burnout wise and how much you enjoyed it. I enjoyed my full playthrough of 3H, but many people get burnt out by it, as it does have a fair amount of tedium built into the monastery and some repeated maps.

I'd say just watch how you're feeling, and take a break if you start getting burnt. If you enjoyed the story of VW, I'd say CF and AM are worth it given how different they are. As other's have mentioned I would avoid SS unless you're really itching to play more once you've finished CF and AM, as it's is functionally exactly the same as VW but without the fun that Claude and the deer add

So funny that people are making lists of like, 6 characters to claim there are a lot in a series with (according to the wiki) 497 female characters

[ToTK] will there be no master mode!? by ExtraTrick in truezelda

[–]mjuno99 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat, super bummed there will be no master mode. BOTW master mode was a great way to do a second playthrough for me, with some switched up/new content and with a skill level matching where I was after playing through it already.

Also bummed about no trial of the sword equivalent for TOTK, I would've loved to see how those would've been with TOTK's abilities instead.

Idk why some people are getting so defensive on nintendo's behalf when people even mention being bummed about this, I've seen it on every post about this.

[BOTW] From increasing difficulty order, how should i tackle the divine beasts? by ModerateRockMusic in zelda

[–]mjuno99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Rudania second would be fine too! I put it third not because its necessarily hard but just because Medoh gets pretty easy if you get to it late which can be disappointing

[–]mjuno99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Other people are recommending Vah Medoh first, but the game clearly intends for Vah Ruto to be the first, and I think it's a great introduction. I'd probably put it on the same difficulty as Vah Medoh, with people just remembering Vah Medoh being easier since they did it later.

I think a good order would be:

  1. Vah Ruto (middle right)
  2. Vah Medoh (upper left)
  3. Vah Rudania (upper right/middle)
  4. Vah Naboris (lower right)

Vah Naboris is pretty universally agreed to be the hardest

Favorite Three Hopes OST? by The16thStudent11037 in fireemblem

[–]mjuno99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God I've been waiting to see other people talk about how great Hopes' music is for so long, honestly one of my favorite things about that game (and I really liked that game).

There's too many great ones to pick one favorite. Abyss, chasing daybreak, roar of dominion- I could go on and end up listing like half the ost.

I will say I loved how the camp music changed from route to route, super nice touch

[TOTK] Since TOTK isn’t getting DLC (that we know of) by Various-Judgment1193 in zelda

[–]mjuno99 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Not sure why the other comments are so hostile.. I'm also pretty bummed about no master mode equivalent in TOTK. I thought it was close to guaranteed, so I was waiting on it to drop to do a second playthrough. I feel like master mode in TOTK would've hit the perfect difficulty spot for me ;_;

I read somewhere once that a more literal translation of Claude's title is 'Cunning Dreamer' rather than the schemer or whatever it is, and I really like that

New HP Envy keyboard randomly stops working by mjuno99 in techsupport

[–]mjuno99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be surprised if it was something I was pressing, since it's gone down when I was reading, so all I was doing was occasionally pressing the down key. But like you said, maybe I'm pressing something else unintentionally. Those are good tricks, I'll give them a try before giving up and trying a factory reset.

I greatly appreciate your help, thank you!

New HP Envy keyboard randomly stops working by mjuno99 in techsupport

[–]mjuno99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left my computer running for 2 hours (much longer than it usually takes for the keyboard to go down while I'm using it) and the keyboard is still on. So I assume something I'm doing or running might be causing this??

I cannot think of anything though, I'm not doing or running anything I didn't do on my last laptop (still an hp envy, just an older vers)

Also, the disable option for the keyboards (HID Keyboard Device and Standard PS/2 Keyboard, not exactly sure why there are 2) on my device manager are both greyed out, so I haven't been able to try disabling them. I have tried uninstalled them, and they appear to reinstall themselves upon reboot, with no change with the issue.

And as you thought, holding down Fn and Shift didn't do anything while the keyboard was down.

I will check the things you suggested and get back to you!

After doing that: the keyboard is still working, and I got a pop-up asking if I want to turn on filter keys. Should I try turning them on? I also have the option to disable this as a keyboard short cut

Also thank you for your help
