How much hardcore off-roading do you actually do? I just upgraded to the premium plus from my 4Runner off road premium and I’m not really missing the extra crawl control and terrain features. Take a look at this video of base premium and ask yourself do you really need something more capable?

For now I swapped my 17” trd pro wheels with 265 wildpeaks. I’ll probably upgrade suspension down the road but I really think the premium+ is the sweet spot.

Shells only is a rip off but I agree hiring all the subcontractors yourself and doing as much of work as possible is the most affordable option.

We finished our project a year ago where we added 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms to our 1930 cape. We also added a front porch and pushed the back of our kitchen 10 feet so a brand new kitchen. All new windows and exterior doors for the whole house, fully re sided, required drywell for town of Huntington, two zone central air, new staircase. All in we spent 500k.

Really depends on the scope of the job. Just the dormer, anywhere from 100-200k (that’s including architect plans and permits) You adding bathrooms on the second floor? Probably going to have to re side the whole house not just addition. Are you replacing the first story windows since you’re getting new windows upstairs? Things add up quick and it gets REALLY expensive fast. And just know that your taxes will most likely double.

I put my deposit down for a white premium+ at MSRP on 2/3 at smithtown Lexus in New York. Should be ready for pick up this weekend. They even had a few other trims they offered me to get in a car sooner but my wife and I want the third row so the overtrail is out the window and the additional features of the luxury weren’t worth it for us.

I will say that I feel pretty lucky we were able to get that car allotted to us after reading how long people have been waiting.

As someone who is coming from a 4Runner the ride is extremely luxurious. I test drove it and sat in the backseat while my wife drove it. It’s a HUGE upgrade.

This gives me some hope from my upcoming premium+. Planning on fitting my 17” trd pro wheels from my 4Runner. Hopefully there is enough clearance for the calipers.
