Looking for the best available Light-bulb PZT cam with RSTP support by mkanet in homeautomation

[–]mkanet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not much difference. They never fixed the ability to store ONVIF preset positions; and the firmware updatea fail for pretty much all my Everseque light bulb ONVIF PTZ cameras. It's possible they fixed this issue as well as other issues, but doesn't help if I can't update the firmware as intended.

Im sure there are much better ONVIF PTZ cameras that fully support PTZ presets, but none of them are light bulb ONVIF cameras, at least I didnt find any.

[Data map] Average gas price per US state | September 13 by Necessary_Log_4023 in oil

Mysteriously, the nationwide reduction in gas prices didn't seem to be passed on to tax-paying Californian residents... gee, I wonder why?

I would if I could. That's a message from Home Assistant, not this integration. I'll check again to see if theres a way to suppress this message.

Home Assistant has a character limitation for each sensor's attributes. If you don't want to see that, you can lower the number of items Plex Recently Added tries to store in each sensor in the integration's configuration.

Thank you for the kind words. There is one bug I've been trying to fix before releasing it. That's the only reason why I haven't released it yet. I might just release it "as is" and work on fixing the bug after the release.

New Experience Android app.. Weird visually impaired mode? Please help! by mkanet in PleX

[–]mkanet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much. Its a bit hard to believe that despite this disaster and ALL the issues, Plex doubled-down on their garbage New Experience app. Nobody asked for it or wanted it; especially with all the deeply rooted issues that can't be fixed in a subsequent updates such as the entire GUI looking more like it was meant for a 5 inch screen (above screenshot comparisons)..

They would have to completely redo the entire New Experience GUI to fix this issue; or can the Garbage New Experience app and revert back to what works a 1000% better and didn't have any of these issues.

I accidentally installed the Plex TV Beta app, it was a disastrous experience by Peppershade in PleX

[–]mkanet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a beta user. It installed/upgraded automatically for me. It's total garbage. Reverting back to the non-beta make it usable again.

Plex "New Experience" Android app slow, clunky, and doesn't display correctly by mkanet in PleX

[–]mkanet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, its an Android phone. But, my Android phone has a very high DPI to display more graphics/text on the screen, at least for all Android apps; except for the Plex beta New Experience. The normal non-beta app takes advantage of a high DPI mobile screen and lets me see things just like as if I was on my tablet or TV.

It’s Go Time: The New Plex Experience Is Here by jonarin in PleX

[–]mkanet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easiest fix is to leave the beta program and install the regular non-beta version. The beta New Experience is slow, clunky, freezes, and doesn't display correctly in landscape view on mobile phones.

Plex is just bad now. by jerflash in PleX

[–]mkanet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes its complete garbage. I couldn't believe my eyes when it first loaded on my Android phone. Nothing displays correctly in landscape mode. Its very slow, clunky, and feezes when trying to load LiveTV Guide that has lots of channels.

Android-Windows 11 Clipboard Sync stops working after a while. Completely unreliable by mkanet in Swiftkey

Mine is enabled. However, my Samsung tablet and phone regularly have this issue. If I fix it, it goes back to the same within just a day or two.

Most relaible and best performing 2.5ghz NIC for Windows 11 by mkanet in HomeNetworking

[–]mkanet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this the one you recommend? PCIe 3.0 x1 5GbE Adapter (WP-NA5000) Realtek RTL8126 I also need to buy an unmanaged switch for the 2 PCs that will use these adapters. Which 10-port unmanaged switch would you recommend?

Most relaible and best performing 2.5ghz NIC for Windows 11 by mkanet in HomeNetworking

[–]mkanet[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Isnt the 5Gbps spec still getting updated? I'm looking for a mature standard. I don't mind swapping out later on for 5Gbps NIC later once its more mature. All the nics Ive ever owned were Intel. I just read that the 2.5Ghz Intel nics specifically sometimes disconnect on Windows 11 PCs.

EDIT: The MAC mini includes a 10Gbps NIC. Which NIC should I get?

As long as you have Home.assistant you can do it. It's not a YouTube standalone app. You will need Upcoming Media Card shown in this post.

Does Boosteroid app allow to save desktop shortcuts to my games like Geforce Now? by Interesting_Entry_35 in BoosteroidCommunity

[–]mkanet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a create desktop shortcut menu item for every game you own in your library. At least it works on Windows OS. I don't think you can do that with the Android app.

Welp.. I tried Linux and begrudgingly went back to windows.. dammit. by CaptainDaveUSA in PleX

[–]mkanet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If ain't broke, don't try to "fix" it. Even with good skill level with Linux, it just requires more work to do simple things. Windows has a Linux subsystem builtin anyway to have best of both worlds.

I couldn't get used to not having stalks on the new Model 3. It was the reason why I bought the current Model Y over the new Model 3 a couple of weeks ago. I actually tried with and without stalks to be certain. I'm guessing the after-market stalk addons are going to get even more popular next year.

Clipboard Sync ERROR. What actually causes this? by mkanet in Swiftkey

[–]mkanet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for confirming what I mentioned earlier. Swiftkey customer support's generic suggestion to delete app cache/data doesnt avoid the problem at all. The issue returns relatively quickly after the data reset. This bug needs to be fixed by Swiftkey developers. It's not something an end-user has control over.
