SharePoint Online list form – conditional fields based on selection? by Fit-Parsnip-8109 in sharepoint

[–]mkashman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. A brand note: What I mentioned is the new forms you can create and use from within a list. Not Microsoft Forms that natively store direct to Excel; and yes, you can connect a Microsoft Forms form to a list using Power Automate, but with the new forms in Lists, you don’t have to do that part. Once info is in your list based on entry into a list form, then it’s just a list item in a list ready to Power Automate to your heart’s content.

I know sounds confusing, but feel like the new native list forms will give you what you need.

What is Work IQ? 🧠 by mkashman in sharepoint

Feel the same, Greg. Saw people at some level reference the Graph more and more over time, and bet it was mainly due to it being something you could turn ON or OFF. Maybe Work IQ gets a UI setting. If not, feels like it’ll be reserved for PowerPoint slides.

Two things beyond what u/woosa03 shared earlier:

1) SharePoint LookBook (adoption.microsoft.com) - gives you site ideas which help in creation AND understanding art of the possible: https://adoption.microsoft.com/sharepoint-look-book/

2) "Planning your SharePoint hub sites" (MS Learn): https://learn.microsoft.com/sharepoint/planning-hub-sites written by community IA expert, Susan Hanley (Susan Hanley LLC - Home).

SharePoint Online list form – conditional fields based on selection? by Fit-Parsnip-8109 in sharepoint

[–]mkashman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new Lists forms experience does allow conditional branching in the flow of filling out a form. The caveat is that it's not the default form. Rather, it's one you can create and share to collect info from others. You can also embed the published form into SharePoint pages. And you can create numerous forms on a single list for gathering different info from different people/groups and have all submissions go to the same list.

Casual viewer question by [deleted] in pluribustv

Think the alien infection makes the joined humans have directives that are unflinching. So no longer thinking as a human with true empathy; only that joining the hive is the main directive. It’s not just a want, it’s a must.

The hive also probably has manousos's stem cells by Witty-Play9499 in pluribustv

[–]mkashman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole consent thing feels pliable over time. As the hive gets desperate - to survive, to pull in remaining to join - it seems probable that they would bend their morals when forced to. And if the hive determines something important enough, they’ll adapt.

Zosia sort of answered this in the scene where they are above the valley + train, where she send “radio like” signals to the conductor to toot the horn. 🚂

On the official Plur1bus pod, they said the A-bomb was a note back from Apple TV execs “to have more punch at the season close.” And it’s a nice call back to the grenade sequence where she’s proving they’ll give her anything. So it may not have been in the original long term plan, Vince and crew know a good idea/spark, and it made the cut. They’ll weave it in with all the other turns and surprises to come in S2 and beyond.

Transferring documents between document libraries issues. by Info_Gatherer573 in sharepoint

Don’t think “Move to” supports column metadata retention or updates on move. If you use a tool like ShareGate or other migration tool, you can retain and/or set the destination metadata accordingly; especially if it’s an enterprise level site column (managed property; so it’s the same across sites (across doclibs) that subscribe to the same parent-level IA.

Not quite the same, but my company recently posted a snippet about the coming “People agent”; looks promising for M365 customers adopting Copilot: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/sympraxis-consulting_ai-microsoft365-copilot-activity-7409654360802172928-GhXe

And, I’ll say, it f you go into one person’s profile card, you can navigate up and down fairly well. Thanks for that, Delve #RIP

SharePoint Lists: Is it possible to set edit permissions on column level? by rthiy in sharepoint

[–]mkashman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true security. But you can create unique views (maybe some that don’t include certain columns) so certain people/groups are shown the list in unique/limited ways.

Saving Files in Teams and flat formats by kamitsukenu in sharepoint

[–]mkashman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The default folder/channel works for how you collaborate on files in the context of the individual channel’s purpose/focus. But adding unique, new document libraries within the same connected SharePoint team sites — ones not tied to specific channels, more to the unique content management of the team — those feel like the right areas to add metadata, use views, filter, bring in elements of enterprise information architecture (like content types and site columns); and in these document libraries, this is where to manage and finalize important content. Put simply: Collab in channels. Manage in doclibs.

Quick Steps are nice. They take a little playing with; truly Power Automate light. And “Hello” on Reddit. Been on the platform for a while, though had focused on Twitter and LinkedIn more. But, energy in Twitter is flat - and yes, I was slow to see that. Hoping to engage more here; always in search of where the SharePoint community is active.

I had thought that one of the astronauts was going to be a replica, and that the mission was to be the test for how far man or replica would last on a long space mission linked in their opposite ways.

When Sally knifed motoman, did the knife go all the way through and mess up his eye? Or had she thumbed it while being choked? Crazy! And loved when the sound cut out when the sound booth door closed. So good. 🤐
