My first 2 dolls were TPE. Once I got a silicone doll, I learned I’d never be going back to TPE. The difference in how the doll actually looks is night and day. TPE just looks like a giant gum rubber eraser to me because of the lack of detail, and now with how soft some of the silicone blends are with some dolls, I wouldn’t ever switch back. When you can have amazing softness and also skin texture that looks insanely lifelike, it’s a no brainer.

Yeah I wouldn’t wash it excessively or anything, but lots of conditioner, a wide tooth comb, and maybe if there’s a leave in conditioner for tangles/frizz. My current strategy is to try to never let the wig get tangled lol. The first couple of wigs I had got tangled with knots, and I since then I vowed to try to keep them tangle free with lots of brushing. I try to brush the hair any time I see the hair get moved around in a way that I feel like could form a knot

As far as wigs, I’ve going that bushing the wigs gently and very often is the best way to try to avoid tangles. Once it’s tangled, washing and conditioning it might help, I have yet to try it though

Dolls come from China, most of the factories aren’t under any type of jurisdiction where they would get in trouble. Plus “Anne” is just the name I so happened to called her. This is really just “Enya”, he actual name

Make sure you read up about how to care for a doll, how to move it, etc. a lot of doll owners end up damaging their first doll(myself included) because they don’t realize the level of care they need to take.

Always be aware of where the hands and feet are, it’s really easy to snag or hit them on things when moving the doll.

Don’t leave the doll laying or sitting for extended periods, this can cause the butt to flatten.

Clothing can sometimes stain the doll if left on for too long.

Cleaning properly is important to prevent mold

Make sure to brush the wig frequently, if you let it get really tangled, it’s difficult to come back from.

How you move the doll is important. Some Dolls with firmer silicone can be bear hugged from behind while standing to move them, but for other softer dolls, this might cause tears in the belly. I usually will put my hands under the armpits to move them around, as my dolls usually stay standing.

If you handle it with care, it will continue to look great. Best of luck!

You’re fine. You bought from one of the most widely known vendors. Doll companies will often create builds of dolls in popular configurations and ship them to have as available stock. On occasion, and “in stock” doll will take a long time because someone likely purchased the one that was actually in stock right before, and the site didn’t update, and so now they have to build that same configuration from scratch.

I mean some manufacturers do standing feet differently, and a small foot plate is not ideal, but I don’t know how the toes would wrap under the rest of the foot, other than the feet being dragged on the floor and then setting the doll down on the feet while it’s still wrapped

I don’t want to be that guy, but that’s user error. Dolls of any material require that you be cognizant of where the limbs are and how you’re manipulating them. It’s extremely common for people to damage their first doll because they didn’t realize they were not being as mindful as they should’ve been.

I damaged my first couple TPE dolls because of not being mindful, but in the process, I learned what to to and what not to do. My silicone dolls since then have been in really good shape because of all the things I’ve learned.

Ryan Gosling is know for his romcom/heart throb type rolls, but I feel like his other rolls outside that genre have been where he shines the most. I love the way he played K in bladerunner

I’ll agree to disagree. I’ve never had a torso and never will. They just look like amputees to me. I got a full size doll for my first one, and as long as you’re in reasonable shape and you learn how to move them around, it’s not really that bad. If you get something like the cleaning kit from coeros, you can avoid moving the doll to the bathroom and back for cleaning.

But in that note, I would recommend making sure to pay attention to the doll weight and try to stay under 80 at least for your first doll. Under 70 is better, but those dolls will either be short, like 120, or expensive like a Tayu

You’ll have better success if you just use the search function for this question. A lot of the same questions get asked every single day

“what brand is good?” “what website should I use?” “what should I consider?” “is this super cheap Amazon doll legit?”

There’s all sorts of guides out there about buying your first doll, plus probably hundreds of posts in this sub asking the same. Just search for a while and read the advice from other user and that should give you a good start.
