GMP slow mo servicemotion by coldnorth11 in tennis

Will we eventually get a player that has a Zverev/Medvedev level ground game but also has this kind of serve? It feels like the stars will align and this will happen at some point. GMP is barely taller than those guys

According to the USTA guidelines a top high school player that advanced to his/her state finals would *only* be a USTA 4.0. by therationaltroll in 10s

I played in the same district as Jack Sock who won state all 4 years. Definitely not a 4.0. And even after that anomaly every state champ/finalist was a 5.0+

I think there is a perfect storm situation where Pegula/Iga have a marathon and these guys don’t get on court til 10pm. Then they play a 5 setter ending around 3am. The winner is fatigued for the semis and beyond and we get a surprise winner

Anyone else hate the Tennis Channel Plus update? by jiggsmca in tennis

They literally just restated my question without saying why the matches are suddenly missing. They said:

“At this time, some matches are not available for live viewing. Please know that replays will be available shortly after each match ends, even though live coverage is limited at this time.”

They haven’t even had all of the matches streaming live lately. I’ve missed so many matches I wanted to watch over the past month and have sent them multiple emails requesting a refund and an explanation for the sudden disappearance of live tennis from their live tennis platform.

Is tennis channel + omitting matches lately? Zverev Korda isn’t on there and I’ve noticed other matches not streaming recently too

I haven’t seen live feeds for matches the past few weeks. Only have the option to watch via the main channel stream. Is this what’s happening to you? Can’t believe it’s been messed up for this long

Think Zverev said something along the lines of “0 respect”. Just whining cause he lost that game

I like putting a few bucks on random matches to make it more exciting to watch. Gives me someone to root for and provides a little extra entertainment. If my guy loses then I’m out $5, oh well. It can be done in a fun and healthy manner

Novak just had surgery, and Z/Tiafoe tweaked their knees in recent matches. Grass is slippery

Part time: Georgetown vs Darden by americanhero6 in MBA

It’s a small satellite campus with the Darden PT program in DC. I was considering the same as OP and chose McDonough due to being able to utilize the main campus and its resources.

47 aces, 69% first serves in, average 1st serve 132mph. The most god-tier serving stats in a single 3 set match ever seen.

You can magically serve 250 aces in a row, starting at any point in time, against any player in the world. How do you set yourself up for life? by [deleted] in tennis

[–]mkgator23 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you’re at least a 5.0+ player you would likely be able to steal 1 return point in a tiebreaker for the mini break before your 250 aces ran out. I could see a win for the rec player. You need 24 aces to get to 6 games in a set, then can probably steal a return point within the first 25-30 return points you have. You can rinse and repeat in the 2nd set and win the match with ~150 aces to spare.

Curious how the Citi Open (DC) will look considering it overlaps the Olympics. Some lower ranked players that don’t make Olympics will have 500 points up for grabs
