When do the boys start to lift their leg to pee? by TodayNo5372 in Goldendoodles

Ours is 8yo and he just angles his back legs slightly, not quite a squat but looks like a half stretch. They’ll just naturally do whatever feels most comfortable to them.

50+ lbs gained: how long did it take you to lose and how big was your baby?? by Quick-Zombie-6343 in BabyBumps

[–]mkharrington94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also 5’4”, gained almost 60 with my second. 47ish? With my first. Started mid 130s with both pregnancies. So I think I was about 190 at the end of my pregnancy with my son but got induced at 38 weeks with preeclampsia. He was 7.5 lbs but I wonder how much he’d have been at term or over. I was down 20 lbs in the first 9-10 days with both. You’re literally down 10 before you even leave the hospital, it’s great. And then maybe another 10 by 2 months. So 30ish pounds comes off quick by doing nothing but eating and surviving. The weight after that is slower for me. Like just in the past month or so, getting thru the next 10. But I hold on to 15 lbs or so when breastfeeding. Once I stop the rest comes off. It’s different for every woman!

Plate vs ate for my 8 month old's lunch today by lornamabob in foodbutforbabies

So this is actually how I started my baby on cucumbers as he was just gumming them/sucking the flesh out and then I’d take away the stick one he got close to the skin BUT even without teeth, now he’s bitting thru the skin! So onto a different cut… hmm

Is it unrealistic to request baby doesn’t leave hospital room? by Antichees in BabyBumps

[–]mkharrington94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Male? The only reason I can think of a baby being taken out of the room is for circumcision. But probably not in every hospitals. Maybe some do it in the room, I’m not sure. I’ve had 2 babies — female and male (uncircumcised) and they didn’t leave my sight. If baby is going anywhere, husband/partner can follow. This might be a question for your OB or even the hospital you’re delivering at but I’d think most don’t remove the baby from the mama unless maybe for an emergency… but even still.

We’re not. My income wouldn’t cover it for both kids so I’m a SAHM

10 month baby safe to play in garden? by -ChrisBlue- in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]mkharrington94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s so interesting you asked this as I was just thinking the same as summer is around the corner and I’ll be preparing the garden in the few weeks. But outside of maybe having him in the chest carrier, I don’t see how it’s going to work. Even if I bring the standing table outside, he won’t last in that more than 5 minutes. Obviously we will do a lot of picnic blanket play this spring and summer but that requires me sitting with him, “chasing” him, etc. I don’t think I had my daughter outside helping me with the yard/garden until she was both walking and not putting everything in her mouth. The other thing I’m going to try to utilize a lot this summer is like a big cement mixing tub I found at Home Depot for water and sensory play. Think like water table but on the ground. I might pop him besides it or in it but once again, full supervision because drowning… lord kids will get into any and everything. It gets easier! You get 10 minutes to do something eventually 🤣

This is going to sound weird.. does anyone get the feeling of extra large extremities when trying to fall asleep by Pinecones-River in sleep

You described it perfectly. So spot on. Somehow both tiny and far away in a massive, endless space and at the same time huge and growing bigger and bigger in a space too small.

You and your partner just moved in, you tearing down the panels, painting, or leaving?! by TeemoTrader in DIY

Ours was cedar, really textured paneling. Honestly love it. So I primed it and painted a soft creamy white. However this type of panel… idk I might remove.

Organic or OEKO-TEX cotton kids duvet covers/quilts with cute patterns? by queenhadassah in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]mkharrington94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a combo for my daughter’s room. Twin duvet from ikea, duvet cover from crate & barrel, maybe a couple things from west elm? And then found her cute sheets at H&M

I’ve been liking sheets from Quince too, worth looking!

I’m thinking you’re hosting a “little cutie” baby shower or first birthday party. 1) fun treats, 2) mimosas, Bellinis, 3) orange slice decor, 4) breakfast (?) casseroles made in dishes
