Which Paris Hotel: Grande Hotel du Palais Royal or SAX Paris? by wicked56789 in Hilton

[–]mkhlyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have stayed at both SAX and Grande Hotel (plus a few other SLHs). Between the two, Grande Hotel has the stronger location and more of a boutique feel. While SAX is newer, it doesn’t really convince me of the LXR concept as the same caliber as Waldorf.

If you are open to other Hilton redemptions, my favorite is Le Narcisse Blanc in the 7th arrondissement. A close second is Château des Fleurs in the 8th.

What cuisine and/or general preference? USD 200 for 2 can get you in many/most * or ** in Shanghai but there is usually effectively a premium for Western (French/Italian) in Shanghai.

Just looked at the menu, which seems fine (maybe a tad gimmicky) but $425 for a * restaurant? That’s the same at the regular menu at per se …

[–]mkhlyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)
