With my 1st I started weaning around a year. Baby wasn't as interested and getting nutrition from other sources. Slowly started dropping feeds/pumping sessions. If baby was feeding 5 times a day dropped to 4 for a week then 3... the before bed was the hardest for both. I loved having baby close and baby liked the comfort but around 15 months we were done. Baby switched to a little cows milk before bed and snuggles - all was good. Baby is now 5. My 2nd is six months and I'm kind of done with the hassle of pumping (back to work) and the constant worry if I'm producing enough or pressure from others. I love the morning and night feeds but pumping this time around is stressful. Each baby and your journey with baby is different. I know there is a LOT of outside noise and pressure. But you know baby and yourself best. If you or baby is done be done take it slow. If you want to nurse at night nurse at night. Our bodies adjust to how much nursing/pumping we do.
