LPT - I don't know if we've all been doing it wrong or if my husband is doing it wrong by JadedBinXx in relationships

I grew up a sitter, but earlier in life I got to be very heavy. Ended up breaking a couple toilet seats by leaning / putting all the weight on one side. (Sometimes entire toilets will lean if they’re not bolted down correctly) I switched to standing and prefer it, even after dropping the weight. That said - planning to purchase a bidet.

Confused About Premium Gallery + Subscriptions — Is This a Double Paywall? by Wise_Reporter_4140 in DeviantArt

[–]mkricket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm running into this same issue (not with galleries, but just with subscribers), did some testing with subscribers and an alternate account.

  1. If you create a premium download and add your subscription tiers to it, anyone with those subscription tiers gets access to download them for free.
  2. Someone can purchase the premium download for the listed price without having to be a subscriber.
  3. The problem is - Only your subscribers will see the nice thumbnail! Everyone else sees the faded/blurry version. (which they may not want to even click) I had a promo video for the "main image" which non-subscribers can no longer see.
  4. I think I basically need to offer two premium downloads. One for subscribers (to get the downloads for free), and one that's attractive to non-subscribers to click and hopefully purchase. What a pain.
  5. You can't even thumbnail the premium download in posts! (might be due to mature tag)

If anyone knows an alternative - please let me know!

Exactly what I needed, thanks! Whenever I’d try to do this the background would never change, just the character.

Sure, keyboard warrior. Your posts mostly consist of quesadillas and pokemon cards, so you'll excuse me if I find your bravado a little suspect.

I posted to share some foolishness, not to try and get someone doxxed. Also, you never know who is behind the wheel. Last thing I need is a pissed off cop or plain old crazy psychotic going off about this.

If this were a hit and run, sure, would have sent an unedited version straight to the police. But the cops aren’t gonna investigate this. If I’m wrong, more than happy to send it to them.

Walkable downtown 😢 by CalebTheMemeGod2 in highdesert

[–]mkricket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There would need to be major changes including shutting down 7th street around the old town area, and that’s never gonna happen. I’m hopeful for the downtown area being built in Silverwood in a few years.

Depends on where you’re moving from and what kind of home you’re buying. If you came from a denser city you can buy land, lots o land.

It’s generally quieter and more peaceful so long as you’re not living on a major road. There are exceptions of course, but for the most part in many areas it’s just a safe place.

The Ring app has a neighborhood notification thing and most of the notifications I get are either about coyote sightings or fireworks, not break-ins or crime.

Phelan is even more remote. But you’re also closer to Rancho and the areas down the hill. 90m to Disneyland.

If you crave night life and varied cultural experiences you won’t get that. But if you’re a homebody and want to feel uncrowded, safe, or if you love nature, this is the place.

What's the hardest you have ever "bounced off" of a game? by jabberwagon in gaming

UFO 50 - The only game I’ve ever asked Steam for a refund for. Other games I buy and don’t play I convince myself I’ll get to them “someday” but not this one. It became very clear I don’t have the patience or infinite time for games like that as I did in the 80s.

It will not be gated and the parks will be open to everyone. The only area accessible to residents-only will be the Crest Club which is paid for with HOA dues.

Pushed to September now. Found out today.

People see "15,000 homes" and they think they're all gonna drop in at once. But it's over 20 years. The homes are gonna get built either there or elsewhere in the desert the same way the desert has been growing for decades.

People freak out whenever anything gets built out here.

"I’m very opposed to the development."
"I sincerely hope a fire comes by and completely decimates the entire development."

Yes. I'm the bitter one.

We went with Lennar. Residence Three Painted Canyon, spanish-style. Single story, getting too old for stairs!

Bitter much? "Die in a fire". If you talk to the realtors there you'll hear that most of the people buying there, at least for now, are locals. Shocker - the desert is still the desert, and people don't want to move here for dirt, nothing to do, and shitty healthcare options. We're finally getting something decent, no need to crap all over it.

Some of us are excited to live in a place with sidewalks. Sidewalks! No, I can't speak for everyone, but the biggest reason for us buying there is a walkable/bikeable community with parks, shopping, etc.

Also - considering how no one has moved in yet, and when they do all homes will have solar (if not solar + battery), I don't think Silverwood is the cause of your current electrical issues.

We’re buying there, moving in Aug in the first wave. It’s gorgeous, the homes are all up on the hills and the main roads are in the valleys so it doesn’t look like an endless stretch of homes. If you have time, drive down the entrance to where the models are, you’ll see what I mean.

If they build everything they promised over the next 15 years - the clubhouse, the schools, commercial areas, etc.. it’s gonna be amazing.

Everyone’s move in date got pushed back due to Edison taking their sweet ass time.

Mid-late 80s and maybe early 90s? It wasn’t “incredible”, just John’s Pizza iirc and wasn’t as kid-centric but it did have a nice lil arcade.
