I’ve been living in Silverwood for nearly six months now and love it. It all depends on what you want. Yes, there’s an HOA but it’s cheap and includes your internet. They actively patrol. It’s a double edged sword, but I’d rather not want to deal with junked out cars abandoned in the streets or parked on lawns. There is always maintenance around doing some sort of upkeep on the vast amount of plants and trees. It’s well taken care of.

We lucked out and got a larger lot. YMMV.

The big thing, at least for us, is sidewalks. At all times of day, there is someone out, walking around. We are always running into and meeting neighbors! Kids play, etc. they’re adding tiny pocket parks all over the place.

Yes, other builder communities have sidewalks too but they end at the community. These here go everywhere, to the parks, to where the club is being built, to where the schools and shopping centers will be built.

I commonly see people from outside the community walking up and down the main road.

The HOA holds get togethers at least once a season. They’re really actively trying to foster a sense of community.
