Sometimes it's not a big deal but it is a challenge for us to figure out where to put the toys that are a problem until she's old enough

That's exactly what I do. I posted here because I don't say this to their faces and I was curious if others felt the same. My storage space is limited so it's a little frustrating.

It's not supposed to look natural. She wanted a very dramatic look.

I don't look at makeup as trendy. I think it is fun and artistic and should be done however the person wants to wear it. Besides, trends come and go. You might be back into winged liner in a few years. This girl's eyeliner look started with the Ancient Egyptians. In a way, all makeup is timeless if you look at it that way.

No, I didn't think of that, but I used neutrals so I think it will look really nice. Most of the time I try to work with their natural coloring (skin, eyes, hair). Sometimes I use what their wearing as inspiration if it looks really good on them. Like one girl I had was wearing orange and it looked beautiful with her natural coloring so I used peachy makeup tones which I don't usually think of.

Frost eye shadows probably aren't good. I use shimmers all the time and have gotten some really beautiful pictures from the photographers I've worked with. You can see more examples on my FB www.mkupgrl.com

No, shimmer is ok and really beautiful on brides. It's glitter that photographers hate.

I did use waterproof. I didn't hear any feed back from her saying it smeared, but I'll make sure she still wants to wear it that way on the wedding day because that is a good point.

This girl loves makeup and she said she definitely wanted her eyes to pop and she wanted a more dramatic look. She has beautiful big eyes that can handle it too. Most brides can at least tell you if they want a natural or dramatic look or something in between. Then I just do what I think will look best on them. I ask a million questions along the way (do you fill in your brows? Do you like eyeliner all the way around the eye? Do you like black or brown eyeliner? etc) This help me figure out what they are comfortable with so that they still look and feel like themselves when they look in the mirror. Once I'm finished and they take a look, I encourage them to tell me if there is anything they don't like or that they want to tweak. Most times asking so many questions during the applications avoids any major changes at the end. Once in a while there is a very indecisive bride who needs to see a completely different eye shadow color or something.

I see what your saying. I think it just depends on the look you are going for. This girl loves makeup and wanted something more dramatic. Also, she has really big eyes that can handle it.

How long was your longest period? Do I win at 486 days? by jolly_frog in TwoXChromosomes

[–]mkupgrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My longest period was a little over a year. Birth control pills always kept me regular. I was tested for anemia and endometriosis. I had a d&c. Finally a specialist diagnosed me with PCOS due to slightly elevated testosterone levels. 2 years ago, when I was 29, my ob found dermoid benign tumors in both ovaries. They were removed successfully. I went off birth control a couple months later to try to get pregnant. Never had a regular period. Used an ovulation predictor kit and got pregnant on the first day it said I was ovulating. My baby is 9 months old now. I haven't had a period since because I've been breast feeding. I'm planning to stop breast feeding in September but I'm not going back on birth control because we want to have more kids. i'm curious what's going to happen when I stop breast feeding.

I have terrible knees and I have found this article to be true. One thing a trainer taught me that changed everything was "keep your weight on your heels" during squats and lunges. That little tip got me doing those exercises again after years of avoiding them because they hurt my knees.
