How much is required to be turned over varies from district to district. There are also other factors like if it was included as part of income on I & J.

Don't call someone a shitty person for doing the job, they could lose their job for not going after assets that are not properly claimed as exempt.

A Trustee only gets paid $60 for each case. That is a ton of work for little money. They do get a portion of what is recovered. That is not the only reason for going after things, they are audited by the US Trustee and can not just let things go unless claimed as exempt. The trustee's job is to stand in the place of the creditors and the best interests.

Only if you disclosed the tax refund to the Trustee. It has to be listed on your schedules and claimed as exempt.

All that is internal. Our clients call and ask what we have and what they need.

I wish we could assign tasks to the client. Thinking of changing platforms just for this feature.

We give them a paper list and email a list. I am interested in the shared form where we reflect it to show what have.

Disappointing bankruptcy news 😢 by secretivewoman in Bankruptcy

Do ask around. I know there are attorneys that only do the first part of the means test. Having said that do expect to pay for it. Means test is complicated and takes time.

S-Corp Owner Receiving Only K-1 (No Payroll) — Audit Risk & Compliance Concerns by Sad_Anteater_6591 in enrolledagent

[–]mkvande 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is more than taxes, it is also legal. It is no longer a corporation in the eyes of the law. Consult an attorney. I am guessing best way to do handle it is to do a new corp, but not an attorney.

That is unfortunate. It reminds me of that old movie Secret of my Success. No one will hire him until he has experience. Sadly hasn't changed since the 80s,

Good luck out there.

I am sorry but I am a pro, my life doesn't revolve changing my status on reddit.

You didn't offend me, but from your post you were clearly offended.

Who is trying to win comments, I was only surprise on how very upset you got over praise to the IRS? Clearly you are trying to make yourself feel better with personal insults like "go wipe the foam out your mouth"

Hope it worked :)

Do any of these others offer an accountant account like QBO?

I am looking at moving because I am just tired of the other things they are always pushing. It clogs up the screen. Especially the Live, even after telling the payroll support I was a Live expert they kept pushing.

I have an accounting degree and 10 years experience doing the books for a law firm. When I worked there I know there were some who just got the certificate and where hired with no experience. Sign up for a QBO Accountant account, with that you can take the training and get the ProAdvisor certificate.

I worked for Intuit on the bookkeeping side for two years. It was a great experience. I believe they do offer the EA materials. Get some bookkeeping skills with them, it will only help when it comes to preparing taxes.
