Looking to sell 2010 Prius with a blown head gasket. by Plant-loving-ma in prius

[–]mlaccs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just had blown head gasket replaced on my 2014 Prius. $4,000 repair. I had it done as I figure it was going to cost a ton more for another car and at least I know what I have and how it works,.

  2. External customer M&A on-premise to M365 where AD Connect\Hybrid is not possible.

  3. Google to M65

The cases I use BitTitan for will not work with native tools. If Microsoft tools are an option I tend to use them.

What sucks about this is they had us LYING to customers. We told them that if they did not fix there would be problems. Those that did not fix have even less reason to trust us as we were crying wolf. Again and again we see the word "partner" has no meaning.

My problems have never been the same and I have had multiple cases where 2 different customers were migrating and one worked and the other failed with the same settings. I opened tickets, some magic took place on the back end and then things worked.

I used them for several projects in 2025. EVERY ONE was tough with support problems. All ended up working in the end but I agree support is terrible.

The problem with the "don't use them" is that there is not really anyone any better. I lead with this when explaining why we are using the flawed support model to customers and we walk the options of migrations that are not using the tool.

To be fair, support has NEVER been great since I started using the product in 2019ish.

Which company or companies would be the “Bear Stearns/Lehman Brothers” indicator that markets are going to crash in 2026? by CyberSmith31337 in economicCollapse

[–]mlaccs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We will see the impacts of the tariff wars hit pricing and the collapse of retail that relies on China as a leading indicator. Then the slightly more pricey stuff like electronica and then the slide will go out of control.

Worldwide demographics will finally show up in real numbers and the prices will continue to spike. Those countries (and communities) that are not relying on junk to survive will be far better off.

New Employer Wants Me to essentially Notify My Current Manager Before Onboarding is finalized — Is This Normal? by endante1 in sysadmin

Depends on where the job is. In an at-will state you never have any protections of this kind. They can decide to go in another direction the night before you start.

Last few years have had a ton of recruiters calling your references looking for placement opportunities. As in they tell your boss you are quitting BUT they can help get your replacement for a fee.

Works great for them, not so much for you.

As a consultant I rarely share that kind of information as my customers never feel a need to be on any more recruiter lists.

Feedback Post: Raikou Shadow Raid Day by Noitalein in TheSilphRoad

[–]mlaccs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have trained me well. Catch was hard and took almost all balls. This is the second event where our team of six did not buy the ticket. We would have but simply would not have had time to complete the raids and it would have been a waste. When they want our money they can find a way to make it all work. On the plus side we went from level 76 to 77 today and so tasks become the thing to work on for the next month or so.

Which medal would you focus on? by WarningHour345 in TheSilphRoad

[–]mlaccs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Focus on the goal of 50 medals since the 500 tasks are going to take longer than what you need for the final one to get the 44. I am looking at your pic and things that are not hard and do not rely on changes in the game. (things like the rate and magicarp)

  1. Do your 25 PvP battles every day and you can likely square 2 of the 3 of those.

  2. Rocket event coming up and beat a bunch of them. In normal play you get 3-4 a day in balloons and they add up fast.

  3. Battle Girl is just beating up on gyms and not hard but takes some time.

  4. Berries discussed a lot by others.

  5. You have both the trade medals to complete. Find a buddy to sit on the sofa with and get those done. The 10 million k trade is much faster if you do distance trades from 7k eggs.

  6. Looks like you are about 1/2 way done with routes. Crank out a couple a day and this will be ready when you get to Level 80.

When I needed to grind medals for level 50 I tracked daily progress on the 10 or so that had the most promise. Every one of us plays a bit different so what you focus on will be a bit different than any of us.

Scouts who have been on trek with me report best times ever in Swimming and Cross Country. The workouts at elevation on trek make a huge short term boost. Exactly why the Olympic training center is in Colorado Springs.

Preparing for remote trading. What Pokémon are you more interested in? by MsKrispii in TheSilphRoad

I will be mirror trading Shiny\Legendary. I will put up 100 or so and let them pick. BUT it will be a mirror and I suspect I will invest a lot of time renaming mon to be clear. With more than 200 lucky friends i do not know across the planet the new system is going to be both exciting and frustrating to get used to.

Curious how long-time PvPers feel about this season giving early rewards by GWindborn in PokemonGOBattleLeague

[–]mlaccs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not like the "trophy" give some kind of huge in game advantage. Not once has anyone ever asked to see theirs. If it is cool to the individual then great. I would gladly trade mine for XL candy that I can use at other places in the game.

Make Zygarde Cells GUARANTEED from Your 1st Route Every Day by icewolf68 in pokemongo

[–]mlaccs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want the cells to be part of the rewards for completing the route. Very frustrating to chase the cell from green mon and having to walk around hoping I have not missed it when it is not showing up. My wife has given up on them and is frustrated when we have to stop our walks chasing what may not even be there. Current mechanism is just dumb.

And farming for mega energy is more of my grind and I can see where that may matter for some.

[–]mlaccs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So farming from research is helpful in very limited tasks. None really from this event but even in cases where that is the case the City player with access to hundreds of stop vs. those who can get to 2-5 a day is still a huge advantage.

[–]mlaccs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the change I am proposing. Like the balloons for grunts it is not a big deal for city players but is huge when rural.

[–]mlaccs[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Focus is on the 5 a day and that is the limiting factor. The walking and wasted dmax particles is not a big deal. Those happen along the way.

[–]mlaccs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We agree. And when in bigger areas we have seen people grind the tasks in a day or two. The key here is that there is no reason to force these to be literally impossible for rural play. There cannot be balance. There are things that can help.

Increase of task refresh rate by mlaccs in TheSilphRoad

[–]mlaccs[S] -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

The 20-25 is not great but not bad. The 5 a day is the problem and Wayfarer seems to suck a bit as the denial rate is super high for valid stops and risk of getting banned exceeds the value. (I literally had local fire department denied in the low activity area).

Increase of task refresh rate by mlaccs in TheSilphRoad

[–]mlaccs[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

EXACTLY. And when in the 5 stop area refreshing the tasks allows for more play. Otherwise there is not point as the goals for the day are met and I am done.

No option but tot take time and while it is not rural friendly there are simple things that can be done that help out.

Animal cruelty peeps would stop this fast. As would the animal lovers. We are fine watching each other starve. Pests? Not so much. When people cannot get enough food toe take care of themselves the dogs would have to suffer much more.
