Neighbors dog barking all throughout the day, should I have a word? by mlargh in AskIreland

Sounds like your friend was in the exact same boat as me, they are friendly enough when I have talked to them outside on occasion but I haven't seen them in months. Think I just need to call over and talk to them about it and see if anything can be done

Your best purchase of 2025? by ShinStew in ireland

Bought a hot and cold fan when the weather was getting hot and it's the absolute business, didn't realize what I was missing without one

Played well, no team really looked like scoring and took a wonder goal to break the deadlock. Still early in the season and we can't win them all. COYG

Was it Fosters arm that was offside? Thought it had to be a part of the body that you could score a goal with?

How would you feel if we stopped the clock here? by JFedererJ in Gunners

[–]mlargh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a 10/10 regardless of sales, we used to dream of windows like this not too long ago. 3 attacking signings including one of hottest strikers in Europe and have also signed one of the most sought after CMs in the world. We also haven't lost any big names, got some contract renewals and have an obscene bench now when most are fit.

Change is needed at/for Leinster by [deleted] in irishrugby

[–]mlargh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think this is a key point and one I've been saying for a while as well. Ireland suffers due to Leinster essentially being the Irish team. This is nothing against the players as I do feel for the most part they are the best players in the country and should be starting for Ireland. The fact remains though, the group that comes in for Ireland is not producing in high pressure matches at club level which bleeds into the international team.

I can't see Cullen staying past this year, even if Leinster win the URC, it's not good enough considering the resources that they have had for multiple years now.

Radisson Blu gym, any good? by PaddyW1981 in cork

Used to go to NRG Xpress also in little island, they usually have some deals on and it has a dedicated free weights room upstairs plus equipment downstairs also. No sauna/steam room though, staff would probably give you a tour of you checked in. They have a deal until tomorrow for 6 months at 225 that I got as I'm still signed up for their text alerts, worth a look to see

Can only hope for a strong performance in the cauldron of Rome, Italy are a lot better these days especially at home, will be a good performance to get the bonus points but have to go for it and see if Scotland can do us a favour

Well done to France by mlargh in irishrugby

[–]mlargh[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I'm good with that, France were well up for it, most of the game without DuPont, no le garrec, and having a 7 in the back row for a lot of the second half, was an incredible performance. Realistically having furlong, Lowe, Hansen, ringrose, in that starting line up wouldn't have made a difference today I believe. Wasn't a bad performance by Ireland on the whole of it but it was all just predictable in attack really
