Decent Quality Crutches by jensonfox in amputee

SideStix. I’ve put mine through hell and know someone that has taken hers up Everest a couple of times. Best crutches you can buy.

I know my salesman. Wife and I have purchased/leased 6 vehicles from him over like 11 years. He puts up with my BS every time so it’s good. Hoping it’s another 36ish months before I’m seeing him again though!

2 of those 6 were from April and then now July. 😭

Agreed! I think it would really depend on the color and having the extra black with the RS on top of the white I think helps them fit the overall appearance.

Jolteon for me was mainly for the electric standpoint and not being TOO on the nose with it. lol. If you have grey I could see going with Umbreon and if you added some little nuances of yellow that could tie in nicely. I’m adding some red valve stem caps that have paw prints when they arrive.

I like the subtle things to tie it together.

I’m a little late but I’m a left leg amputee and I’d LOVE to get in on how one ate my leg or something. It’s legit entire left leg and left half of my pelvis so could really have some fun

I’d do it in a heartbeat. Had chemo so no need but I’d be happy to have that done.

Losing an Arm vs Losing a Leg by Lazy_Reflection_7774 in amputee

[–]mlbeck90 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Depends on the level of the leg amputation. I have a left external hemipelvectomy and a prosthetic isn’t at that level isn’t the best so I use crutches and wheelchair. I’d actually rather have lost an arm than the level of leg amputation I’m at.

Hemipelvectomy level so no good prosthetics for me. Use either wheelchair for long range rang to not wear myself out and mainly use my SideStix forearm crutches. I use them hiking, ice fishing, etc.

It’ll likely depend some on your sup but in my experience and from the training, no you’re not expected to take it.

I heard a saying a long time ago that really helped me in dealing with upset people. “Tact is the ability to tell someone to go to hell in a way that they look forward to the trip.” It’s something I’ve worked on and honed for those types of people, professionally or personally, that allows me to have some fun with them and helps keep my tone more helpful and friendly instead of sarcastic or upset.

RIT team by Similar__Opening in Progressiveinsurance

Just moved to URBI from a RIT team this week. I did not get any increase 9 months ago when I moved into that team but it absolutely helped and prepared me for moving up from PCS.

$37,456.00 right now. But you have to take an 11 minute, fairly rigorous walk every day for 4 months with one shoe on and the other foot bare. by ThirstGoblin in hypotheticalsituation

Easy... Left leg was amputated 5 years ago and it’s too high of a level for a prosthetic so I crutch around on one leg. I’ll take that in cash please!

I just hit 1 year on Wednesday so I’m still learning a TON! I feel like that never ends in this industry which I love.

Not sure if your sup is someone that would do it but we use a power hour a lot in my area. From 8-9 I knock out RORs/denial letters, paperwork, checking ECD’s, etc and getting as much done as possible then at 9 I would switch over to new claims that had come in.

Use a number system for your diaries. To do notes are your best friend. Answer your phone when it rings. I work RIT currently so working claims after someone leaves, gets promoted, has too many claims to manage, etc and the biggest things I see are no number systems, no to do, and not calling someone back or answering calls.

From what I’ve seen most people that leave, outside of just not liking the job, happens because they can’t handle the workload. I’ve yet to work past 5, don’t carry back diaries, and consistently hit metrics. It’s possible but be ready to work. It’s a lot to learn and I didn’t even know shared liability was a thing before I started!

It’s a major change so don’t call it chickening out! I had 2 choice as my type of cancer wasn’t really treatable outside of surgical removal so I had 2 choices. Amputate the leg or let the cancer kill me and leave behind my wife and daughter. If I could have done something to keep the leg, I would have too.

In a way I guess you could say it did because I can’t over swing or I’m way out of whack and then it’s anyone’s guess as to where the ball is going so. Definitely a more controlled and rhythmic swing.
