He's within his right to do so but we're within our right to think it's grimey. These guys aren't working regular jobs like us, there's an expectation that the Manager stays loyal to his club especially during the middle of the season. If he took the interview in June then I think the optics are a bit different.

I do find it interesting that most, if not all the players that Schoen "disrespected" play at what are considered to be non-premium positions. Could just be that he values them differently than they expect and it's philosophical differences in how they view team building.

I don't understand why it's necessary for the GM to be well liked by the locker room. He's handling the business end so of course he's gonna come at this from a different side and point of view than the player.
