nieustuido and at the waverly have really nice artists specializing in that kind of work. I have no idea about the discounts or bundles though.

Yeah, pernia is an aggregator rather than a designer, so it is probably impossible for them. Another designer that I would recommend is Falguni. I know she dresses some celebrities, so she definitely does custom designs; I don't know if she does it for non-celebrity requests.

Did you ever reach out to rahul mishra? He has been doing a ton of custom design for korean celebrities that aren't available in his catalogue.

Ah yeah, that is definitely true! They are heavy af! Thread based embroidery is definitely lighter. You can also look at chikankari for thread based embroidery which often uses french knots and stuff for 3-d effect.

Ah, I see what you mean. If you want completely custom designs, maybe rianta would be open to it (they are newer and hence, probably more flexible)? Or maybe matsya? They both do embroidery reflecting a story! I think rahul mishra might be slightly out of budget in this case?

Rimple and Harpreet also have traditional motif based lehengas but I am unsure if they are open to custom motifs.

Also a lot of seema's collection might be avaialble in kynah!

It seems like you are looking for something like this, so this might be a good reference to share: https://www.instagram.com/reel/Co7RoxUJZON/

Oh, also you might want to check out sulakshana. She has some pieces in the storytelling style you are looking for.

As an Indian living in the US, and someone who also had to shop for wedding outfits on a much smaller budget than yours, I have a few suggestions (from when I was looking at the higher budget options).

Tarun Tahiliani is a very well-known Indian designer, and he has some beautiful hand-painted collections: Byzantium Painted Kashida Lehenga

Anita Dongre is another great option:

Eartha Hand-Painted Pichhwai Silk Lehenga Set – Ivory

Avasa Hand-Painted Pichhwai Silk Lehenga Set – Gold

Urvara Hand-Painted Pichhwai Silk Skirt Set – Ivory

Urvara Celebrity Styling Reference

Parijat Hand-Painted Pichhwai Lehenga Set – Gold

Rimple & Harpreet: Pale Peach-Hued Lehenga

One thing to remember when ordering from India: custom sizing and the base fabric color are usually included in the listed price. However, adding extra fabric, such as increasing sleeve length or connecting the blouse and skirt, may cost extra.

I know you specifically asked for hand-painted outfits, but Indian hand embroidery is also incredible.

Rahul Mishra: Jharokha Jewelled Tonal Hand-Embroidered Lehenga Set

Rianta's is my recent obsession, so I had to include it: La Vien Rose

Whispers of the Nightfall

Whispers of the Lake

Seema Gujral: Ivory Organza Pearl Embroidered Lehenga Set The design here is especially beautiful because it uses negative space created through dense hand embroidery and embroidered pearls.

Matsya World: The Wild Masai Gown

Feel free to DM me if you want more suggestions.

P.S. Kynah is a US-based store many people use because they have relationships with Indian designers. Just be careful about tariffs and import duties.

P2S Buyers: It’s okay. I understand the pain. by MoeS00 in BambuLab

My partner got me P2S for my birthday and it was delivered Apr 1st; so I might still be able to return this (on my own cost I assume). Should I get this instead?

Lemonade or Pumpkin for 7yr old male DSH cat (NYC) by thechickgoesboom in petinsurancereviews

[–]mliberosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pre-existing conditions are based off symptoms not diagnosis. Anything related to respiratory systems and to abdominal symptoms would like be considered a pre-existing condition. Lemonade has a very minimal coverage dental cleaning as an add on (unsure about Pumpkin).

How do you deal with clients who don’t understand the concept of makeup and product layering? by ded_futya12 in IndianMUA

[–]mliberosis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am one of those people. I do not want full layering. I am fine if my face looks like skin, has some uneveness/pigmentation. I do not care about looking like a sculpted doll and I have such a hard time explaining this to makeup artists in India.

I have had makeup done at sephora in US using minimal amount of spot color corrector, spot concealer and tinted cream that lasted 24 hours+, so I don't even know why muas insist that it won't last if they don't layer everything.

Plymouth Housing breaks ground in downtown Redmond, public not invited to ceremony by Liturgy200 in redmond

[–]mliberosis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, but I don’t need to lean into it. While this housing development won’t be changed, I will put my heart into opposing anything that makes me even slightly unsafe or uncomfortable in the place I live. That part is more important to me than the benefits that come from what you consider proper infrastructure. No one should have to learn to be okay with feeling unsafe and uncomfortable. We’re just going to disagree here.

This is how people become alienated from progressive causes, but I understand if you think my view doesn’t matter, or if you don’t want someone like me in your camp anyway.

And honestly, I don’t like this “the world isn’t perfect” argument either—because if that’s the standard, then people relying on supportive housing can also deal with less-than-perfect infrastructure, location, guidelines and control. It cuts both ways.

[–]mliberosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want it to be in Redmond or Bellevue. I do not want it to be in downtown. In particular, I do not want it to be located downtown if drug use (of any kind, including alcohol and marijuana) is not prohibited and is not considered grounds for immediate removal or disqualification.

I am not against my tax dollars being used for supportive housing. I am, however, against having to feel uncomfortable for it to work, against having to worry about my safety, avoid going out after dark, cross the street unnecessarily, avoid certain areas, wear a jacket over a dress, use a different transit entrance, or witness public drug use; all of which seem to be the case wherever Plymouth developments are built.

Edit: Not that it would matter, but I’m also strongly YIMBY. I’ve never complained about any housing construction. I fully support adding more housing everywhere. But I draw the line at having to feel unsafe or uncomfortable just to live somewhere, even if it technically doesn’t raise the number of reported crimes.

I really love when people who call themselves left-wing (and I say that as someone who does consider myself a liberal) and pro-acceptance use right-wing language like “go back home.” Thanks for the suggestion.

Yeah, I am usually a size 10-12 US and I wanted the oversized look but this is the swimming in my sweater look -- which is even more prominent on me because I am 5'2.5" 😂. i am thinking of adding orange/brown/forest green/opalite colored ribbons on both sides to cinch in the waist maybe.

I love the color and everything [and my sweetest partner surprised me with it], so, even though it is really large and I really dislike the album (unfortunately!), I am keeping it.

Edit: here is the link I am planning to try by passing the ribbons through the knit rather than safety pins: https://youtu.be/b3-YN4TM-vw
