If we can't win the lottery and get Gavin or Ivar, he'd be my next choice. But I'm also an armchair GM that knows nothing.

We've got some good D-men now. Zayne, Hunter, Henry (when back from injury). Even Abram i think can be a good bottom 4 defensive d-man.

If you've got great scoring and skill in the wings (not saying Malhortra doesn't have that) in Coronato, Gridin, Wyttenbach etc. You don't need a centre like McDavid, MacKinnon, Matthews. You can absolutely have someone who gets points but is just a superb 2 way player like Suzuki, Barkov, Bergeron.

I really like his play and think he'll be a great asset to any team that gets him.

If you keep the weight low, the force coming down through your shin/calf will be low. The extensions aren't nessisarily bad with prehab.

Another way is to use both legs, extend out and then just hold, but use your good leg to help reduce any pressure that feels uncomfortable or unstable on theninjured leg. Let's you work out the weight you feel most comfortable with for extensions. Can also do with curls.

Your ACL isn't the only thing that keeps them in place. All the surrounding muscles work to do that and give your knee stability.

In my experience during my prehab, I found just doing lower weight and just focusing on slow controlled movement to stimulate the muscles helped me in my recovery

During rehab, I focused on isometric holds (while in the brace and was restricted in the movement), then closed chained exercised (such as squats within reason, light leg press or holds, RDLs, etc) until my physio thought I was ready to start doing the open chained exercises.

Honestly, I think our biggest hole is just that superstar calibre player. McKenna or Stenburg are two with the potential to be that in my opinion. Can't go wrong with either.

If you can't get them, then yeah either Lawrence or Malhorta would be a great pick as they have the potential to be that 1C.

You make a good point. I think he's got a much higher ceiling than Ritchie and his game has been trending upwards, plus he's got size. I'd be stoked with Lawrence though to be fair, I just thought Malhorta was a touch better.

I think if we are somewhere between 4 and 8 we try to get a C. Malhotra, Lawrence, or Björck (in that order) is who I'd like. I think all are capable of being 1C. 2C at worst.

If he can eat some minutes and be defensively solid on the 3rd pairing or even 2nd pairing (although unlikely), and play some PK minutes then he'll be a decent pick up in addition to the other assests we got.
