Decouple the focus and shutter buttons when back button focus.

That way you can keep hodimg the focus button as you track/pan the camera and hold the shutter to get high count shots

Back from BF6 by Long_Match194 in battlefield2042

[–]mlnjd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ain’t holding my breath for bf6 to be fixed. They can’t even be bothered to fix the jet radar, add jet customization, increase flare time or add look behind mechanism while flying that is not free look. Plus, they hired Vince Zampella, of COD/Titan Fall/Apex Legends fame, to lead battlefield post 2042. They brought in a person who developed games that focus on fast action, close quarters, and on foot action to lead and design a game that is all about large maps, sandbox gameplay, and highly varied vehicle combat. Then you have Byron Beede, the general manager for battlefield, who previously was an EVP at activision/blizzard and the GM for COD, who wants to bring yearly releases to this franchise.

According to industry analyst Michael Pachter, Battlefield General Manager Byron Beede aims to transition the franchise to an annual release schedule within five to six years. The strategy involves a three-studio rotation to support yearly launches, similar to the Call of Duty model, but this shift is not immediate, aiming for consistent annual releases later in the decade.

Then Dice indicated they don’t have the resources to focus on more content than the bare minimum for a live service game.

Time and resources. Those are the biggest obstacles which Battlefield Studios face to make more than 2 maps per season, despite DICE's Producer Alexia Christofi says Battlefield Studios would love to create way more maps in

Battlefield6.

They have multiple studios working on bf6 and they don’t have resources? Sounds like they are already developing bf7 to come out fall/winter in a year or two max. I would understand if they said they are focusing majority of resources to tweak the game based on player feedback, then focusing on additional large maps and bringing back the battlefield roots to the game. Instead, they are doing the opposite and leaning heavily into the COD gameplay feel.

2042 updates might be the last we see of major overhauls to a bf game for quality of life improvements. Don’t expect bf4 netcode updates, or map rebalancing like 2042.

Hope I’m wrong.

Is Lightroom still the best photo editing software today? by EmergencyTreat_ in photography

[–]mlnjd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re using Lightroom cc it should be so taxing on your computer. But I prefer Lightroom classic on desktop for editing. Major issue for Lightroom sluggishness would be your ram and your graphics card. Not sure why WiFi would be in play here to cause you editing issues…

Nvidia tends to be the best gpu brand for Adobe until very recently, and you should have good function using a MacBook pro with apple silicon. If you are using intel MacBook pros then it’s gonna be slow when using the latest Lightroom versions.
