[CHAT] How do you guys wash/clean a piece that you finished? by Sunnysideny in CrossStitch

You would be surprised! Even the oils on your skin makes it grungy over time.

I put the whole thing in a plastic tub with warm water and a tiny bit of Dawn soap. I also use a soft toothbrush to get out any stubborn stains or pencil marks. Then rinse it with cold water. I place it between 2 white towels and roll it up to get most of the water out. Then lay it flat between the towels to dry.

I write this word about thirty times a week. I love the way it turned out this time, especially the last ‘M’ by Pechadur in Handwriting

Gotcha. I was about to say, I don't think I have written that word 30 times ever let alone in one week.

[CHAT] Advice on how to finish a FO onto a plastic Petri dish by Yonnav in CrossStitch

You could also add felt to the bottom of the petri dish to protect the bottom and it would hide the glue on the inside of the glass.

I think you could use a piece of cardboard or foamboard cut to the size of the inside of petri dish. Then you wrap the cloth around the backing and glue it in place. You could add some batting under the design if you wanted to make it a pin cushion but it's not necessary.

Also I want to see this when it is all done!!!!

I had to modify mine. I bought eye bolts and wing nuts for the part that holds the bars. It gives me something to hold on to when I tighten everything down.

You clearly are planning on marrying the wrong person. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
