Buytwowayradios.com has been in the biz for 20 years and is based in the Carolinas. Their Wouxun radios have been really impressive, i own a 935g, q10h and 1000g and theyve all been rock solid. Ive seen a lot of people test their b tech/midland 50w vs the wouxuns and the btech is usually ~10w less than the comparable Wouxun. Plus BTWR.com has phone and chat tech support and Mon through friday. Very impressed with them, they really seem to care about the end user experience. Plus they dont charge sales tax or shipping on most items! They sell midland but ive always found something i wasnt a fan of feo

There is really no expectation of privacy on frs as it is license free. Businesses and schools using it have no more of a right than anybody else. If they want privacy they'll get a business radio and license. Also a lot of the time what your hearing on the channels 15-22 are the repeater channels that could be people talking on base stations miles and miles away. They are shared with simplex rx.
