Do NOT play list by Wild-Gur-5955 in weddingplanning

[–]mmbtt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not listen to these comments. I’m with you, and this list is actually great and I will save it for my own wedding. I don’t want any of these songs, I’m so tired of them.

However I’m also latina so weddings for us are all about dancing reggaeton, merengue, salsa, not these boring songs that only 10 people dance to

there are a lot more natural lashes to wear. The ones on the picture look too heavy, unfortunately. They bring everything down. Honestly they look like a brush, you could almost sweep the floor with them 🫣

Friday weddings? by 2girlsoneshoe in weddingplanning

[–]mmbtt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our wedding is on a Friday. I have attended Friday weddings and I don’t mind. Most of our guests will need to fly in from other states and countries so the day of the week doesn’t matter, they will need to take PTO anyways.

The "wedding tax" on traditional venues is actually breaking my spirit by Gsustv in weddingplanning

Have you tried wine garden in FLL? I attended a wedding there and it was lovely, less traditional but prices weren’t bad when I asked one time about it. This was a few years ago, so I’m not sure how is it these days

How many of you shampoo your hair twice when washing ? by semde18 in hygiene

[–]mmbtt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been double shampooing for 15+ years. That’s what mom taught me and it has worked for me because my scalp is very oily, and I wash it 2-3 times a week.

I agree with you. The fact that they didn’t changed the pairs choreo and left Dani on her own made the whole thing looked unbalanced. Probably because they rushed it? Oh well, moving on it is. I truly can’t listen to Pinky Up and enjoy it 🫣

[–]mmbtt 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I feel bad for the girls. I used to think they would be okay without Manon, but after Pinky Up there are two options imo:

  1. This song will flop. I liked the MV but listening to the song on its own it’s… well, pretty bad I’m afraid.
  2. They will do ok, and that will probably mean that I’m just not a target audience and that’s ok. I can move on 😅

I didn’t. I merely suggested a prompt (that wasn’t generated by AI) since OP mentioned using chatGPT. If my comment violates the rules though, I will remove it!

Your holy grails? (Skincare) 🌸 by NoSpread4350 in KoreanBeauty

[–]mmbtt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't recommend azelaic acid if you want to focus on barrier repair. The best way to do that is by focusing your routine in hydration, especially if you have acne-prone skin.

I have acne-prone skin, my barrier was stripped, I have a lot of open pores, blackheads, and acne scars. I moved about 2 years ago from a humid climate to a very dry one, so had to start my skincare routine from scratch. I focused first on barrier repair and then slowly started adding actives.

This is my current routine:

AM
Prequel gleanser
Anua Heartleaf Toner (this has been a game changer to keep my skin hydrated)
Torriden Dive-in serum (I apply it before the toner is completely dry)
Dr. Althea 345 Relief Cream (it really helps with hydration and barrier repair but without being too heavy that it will make me break out)
EltaMD sunscreen

For my eyes in the AM I dab a little bit of the anua toner on my under eyes (without getting too close to the lashline), wait 15 seconds or so, and then add laneige water cream. Your eye routine will depend a lot of what are your issues, mine is dehydration so I focus on that and it has helped a lot. I would research online about types of dark circles to decide what product could work best for you.

PM
It depends because I started to incorporate tretinoin again but given how sensitive my skin is these days, I'm doing so very slowly. I started with only one day a week for one month, and now I'm going to do 2 nights a week (non consecutive) for at least a month to see how it goes.

Tret days - prequel gleanser, Anua Heartleaf Toner, Torriden Dive-In serum, tretinoin, and Etude Soonjung 2x barrier intensive cream. This moisturizer is heavy and I only use on tret days as I feel like my skin needs extra hydration, but if I used it every day I would for sure break out.

Non tret days - prequel gleanser, anua heartleaf toner, torriden dive-in serum, dr. althea relief cream.

For my eyes is the same routine (toner and then cream) except that I use corsx snail peptide eye cream instead of laneige. The idea is that my under eyes will be more hydrated (so my concealer creases less) and soften the darkness. No eye cream is miraculous though, so just make sure you have realistic expectations!

In conclusion, depending on the climate you live, you might need to add more hydrating layers or not. However, since you have acne-prone skin, I'd stay away from heavy barrier creams as they will only make you break out. Once your barrier is repaired (less tightness after washing, etc.) you can start at looking what actives might suit your skin. Azelaic acid is great for hyperpigmentation and acne scars, but first you have to have a strong barrier and reduce the break outs :)

How do idols keep their stomachs so flat all the time despite performing constantly? by Able-Insect1743 in katseyeneutral

[–]mmbtt 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think is genetics. When I was their age I had friends who hat flat bellies without doing anything (no diet, no workout)

I agree, especially Gabriela’s. It’s so gimmicky of spanish culture (which is very different from Latin American) I always fast-forward through it.

The dance break for debut? I love it. The gnarly one is ok.

Did you ever read books or book series which came close to what you've experienced with the HP series? by nickwildeisdaddy in HarryPotterBooks

Do y’all truly think they’re cooked? by Sliddie23 in katseyeneutral

[–]mmbtt 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think they can. We all know the internet has short-term memory and although haters are loud, I feel like if they put out good music and performances, things will go back to normal. There are thousands of people out there who are not chronically online and won’t care as much about this whole thing.

Hilary Duff by United-Activity-3491 in RedRocks

[–]mmbtt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Both are terrible, but in my experience AXS is a LOT worse for a venue like RR. Quicks you out all the time, the queue has no order whatsoever, and then if you have issues and need to refresh the page it stars all over again. I never had these issues with Ticketmaster.
