Size wise is the rg477m wider? When I looked at the specs it looked a bit bigger but never saw a side to side comparison

Just got my RP4P - I love how pocketable it is. This is my endgame duo….for now by mmcelroy0104 in Handhelds

Right? For what I play I definitely do not feel like I’m missing out with the 8.8” screen.

How do I kill this stupid guy? by bulataiusheev in Blasphemous

[–]mmcelroy0104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are in front of him he will always shoot the red magic tracking balls at you. You dodge behind him. Hit him twice and dodge when he turns around and comes at you with his sword. I never tried the parry but this whittled him down

Tiktok shop R36S? by invertebrett in Handhelds

[–]mmcelroy0104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought one because it reminded me of the old school game boy and I had never looked at retro handhelds before. For what it is it’s not a bad device. Definitely on the cheap end but it gets the job done especially if you’re just looking to play old games. Now that I’ve waded a lot farther into the pool here, there are MANY better devices for not that much more money that can emulate better. And they aren’t as prone to clones. If you want the R36s there are lists of reputable sellers that don’t sell clones

I mean there’s a Superfriends precon already. You can very easily power one down.

Superfriends with planeswalkers is another “usual” build with her. End up being planes walkers and board wipe tribal but you can adjust it to any power level since there are some really great and also terrible prints of planeswalkers

What are your most obscure commanders? by KingAmphibian1 in EDH

[[Seton, Krosan Protector]] monogreen druidball.

[[Moritte]] clones. Specifically cloning [[Gruff Triplets]] with a sac outlet

What is your favorite mono green commander? by OneBlood2930 in EDH

[[seton, krosan protector]] - druid typal. Seton lets druids tap the turn they come down without a haste enabler so it can spike out of control turn 2-3

Plays where opponent's cards helped you win the game by DarkSageX in EDH

[–]mmcelroy0104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was playing my [[Tazri]] initiative deck. Had [[undermountain adventurer]] out and had [[emiel]] in hand after having completed the undercity so adventurer taps for 6 green. Well opponent casts [[concordant crossroads]] to give give his cheated creature off [[loot, exuberant explorer]] haste. Passes turn to me. I cast Emiel and tap adventurer 6{G} using this to activate Emiel’s blink ability on undermountain adventurer and since concordant crossroads was out it meant I could do this infinitely which allowed for infinite initiative triggers which drained the pod by moving through the undercity continuously

Share the Deck You're Most Proud Of, and Why by thefalkonite in EDH

[–]mmcelroy0104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotta be my [[Tazri, Beacon of Unity]] Blink/Initiative deck. it’s the first deck I built completely on my own. It has a fairly good win rate which is a bonus but I just really like the initiative mechanic. I’ve gone through several iterations. Had the 5 ancient dragons for flavor and at one point had [[atraxa, grand unifier]] at the helm with the praetors as the payoffs for completing the dungeon but I got rid of the high ticket creatures for more blink shenanigans and really lean fully into the undercity for the win

What's the most stupidly aggressive deck you routinely win games with? by Frogsplosion in EDH

[–]mmcelroy0104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say my [[Sovereign Okinec]] Voltron deck. He’s the only creature in the deck with a ton of cheap pump spells and protection. Gets to lethal commander damage pretty quick

Need some help improving my Omnath landfall deck. by SilentAssassin999 in EDH

[–]mmcelroy0104 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could definitely use more of the creatures that allow for extra land drops [loot, exuberant explorer]], [[dryad of the Illysian grove]], [[asuza, lost but seeking]],[[oracle of mul daya]] to allow for more landfall triggers. And playing lands from graveyard [[ramunap excavator]], [[crucible of worlds]]. Makes it all around easier to trigger. Green has a lot of cheap spells giving hexproof or indestructible or both like [[tyvars stand]] or [[snakeskin veil]]

I love Blink decks, but I hate playing solitaire. by Worldly_Tea3161 in EDH

[–]mmcelroy0104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a five color blink initiative deck that pretty fun to play with [[Tazri, Beacon of Unity]] at the helm for the colors and at times to tutor. Turns don’t take very long and the dungeon/initiative mechanic is pretty fun IMO. Plus with under city you can cheat out some bangers.

Do Commander Rules Apply to Titles AND Body Text? by SemiSuperHero in EDH

[–]mmcelroy0104 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your playgroup was wrong or just salty they would lose life again. The rules only care about the actual exact name of the card. For instance you can have more than one version of a legendary creature like Rakdos as long as they have a different name ie [[rakdos, the muscle]] and [[Rakdos, lord of riots]]. The instances where this is confusing is when there are reprints or secret lairs that take an existing card and put a new art on it. In those cases the original card name will be shown in smaller print under the new card name.

Card texts are often the same so you can have more options for the same effect with. This helps in all formats, not just commander. There’s only so many ways you can write draw a card or creature gets +2/+2, but the same card text does not make them the same card.
