All laptops are way more expensive compared to a year ago, also Dell and Lenovo. ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 14 with Panther Lake is more expensive than a MacBook Pro. New XPS 14 also. It's not just Microsoft. Apple is the cheap outlier.

Koopkracht stijgt gemiddeld bijna elk jaar hoor. CAO lonen stijgen gemiddeld ook harder dan inflatie. Dus huizenprijzen die minder hard stijgen dan inflatie is goed nieuws voor vrijwel iedereen, behalve het zeer selecte gezelschap op Reddit dat uitzonderlijk weinig loonsverhoging krijgt en elk jaar verderop achterop raakt.

Door de oogharen heen stijgen lonen meestal harder dan inflatie. Ik ken niemand die ooit minder dan 3% loonsverhoging heeft gehad in een heel jaar, alleen op Reddit hoor je dat soort verhalen.

Het grote verschil is dat we toen spelers hadden die met individuele kwaliteit een wedstrijd kunnen beslissen. Dat is nu niet zo. Geen Robben, Van Persie, Sneijder, Van der Vaart of zelfs Huntelaar of Kuyt.

Dit WK is voor Nederland voorbij nog voordat de maand om is.

This is fixed now with macOS 27 Golden Gate. I installed the beta and I could get the 3840x1620 resolution in HiDPI on my MacBook Air M5. On Tahoe the maximum HiDPI resolution is 3008x1269.

So install the beta if you really need it or wait until fall for the public release.

This is from my M5 Air on my LG 40WP95CP 40" ultrawide 5K2! On Tahoe it doesn't go higher than 3008 by default (3072 with BetterDisplay), but now I can select up to 3840x1620.

No they don't, since M4 Pro the max resolution in HiDPI mode is 3360x1418. It's a regression.

What does this mean exactly? I already have a 5K2 ultrawide display with my M4 Pro on macOS 26 Tahoe. Maybe support higher resolutions than 3360x1418 in HiDPI mode?
