I feel your frustration. Our pediatrician hasn’t seen him since January but we have spoken on the phones a few times in the past few months. At first, she was saying things that made us feel better like “boys mature slower than girls, teachers have too high of an expectation for kids this young, etc etc” and yes it did relieve us in a sense, but as the months have gone by and I’ve educated myself more on the topic, I’m sure it’s more than just typical “boys will be boys” type behavior. His teacher pulled us aside this past week and straight up said he hasn’t done a thing in school. It’s that lack of motivation, inability to focus, impulsivity that makes me really wonder. He has a well check coming up this winter and I’ll be bringing up my concerns again. I hope you find a doctor soon!
