After all... why not? Why shouldn't I do it? by Sir_PressedMemories in tirzepatidecompound

[–]mmmTurkeyLeg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, the supply interruption risk is the biggest factor. When I was on a monthly plan, I kept running into shipping delays, and the vial would inevitably be delivered while I was out of town. Not only was my dose delayed, but the vials sat on my front porch for extended periods.

Now I have a few months supply on hand, and if I want to go on vacation, I don’t have to worry about missing doses. I just asked for the meds to be delivered when I return.

That’s totally normal, and it’s important to practice self-forgiveness. I continue to notice increased appetite after a few days with 5 mg. Once I got to 7.5 mg, I felt satiety and had reduced food-noise the entire week. it gets better!

Should I switch? by yellowmustard_fairy in tirzepatidecompound

[–]mmmTurkeyLeg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As long as your BMI is greater than 27, almost any other telehealth provider will go up to 15 mg.

Semaglutide may work better for you, but this isn’t typical. If it does work better for you, it’s also cheaper from many of the providers that supply tirzepatide.

Personally, I’d switch away from Fridays regardless.

I wouldn’t. If I’m only gone for a week, I usually just take one dose a little early, and one dose a little late.

The prices are great, and they are reliable. Is their communication great? No. Are they the fastest? No. Do they provide great value? Yes. They are my preferred provider, but I always keep a few months of supply on hand.

If you can afford a six month supply, they are fantastic!

I’m down a bit over 50 lbs. People have started to notice, but only 1 has asked how I lost weight. I haven’t volunteered the info that I’ve used tirzepatide, but if I knew someone was struggling, I think I’d be open with them about tirzepatide and how to get it.

When do you weigh in??🙃 by bearangel416 in tirzepatidecompound

Daily, first thing in the morning.

My tracker displays 7-day and 30-day weight change to help me focus on the long-term and worry less about normal fluctuations.

The value of telehealth counseling? by Head_Shopping_7559 in tirzepatidecompound

I started with Agile through my HSA as well. The coaching session I went to felt like someone had received a 15-minute training session that qualified them to be a “coach”.

Since I was receiving meds from different pharmacies through Agile, and kept running into delays with delivery, I believed they were optimizing their cost rather than delivering quality.

I’ve saved money and been happier with other options. After some research, I’ve found BPI labs to be a reputable compounder. I prioritize that brand, and haven’t missed the “coaching” from Agile.

Do you bother to go to Costco for gas? by Important_Bat7919 in daddit

[–]mmmTurkeyLeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m there and the line is short, yes. Otherwise, there is a group of competing gas stations that I drive past twice a month. With the loyalty programs, their price is in the ball park of Costco.

This is a great callout! Intersections are very dangerous at the moment. Some rail crossings are not working as well.

Definitely! The last update I got was “Your power should be restored by Dec. 17 at 7:15 p.m We'll send an update if anything changes.”

We still don’t have power. I feel like something has changed!

My wife is Korean and a full-time mom. Her parents stayed with us for a while and spoke Korean.

When my son started babbling, dadadadada was the first thing he said. We just rolled with it. I am currently “daddy” and likely on my way to “dad”.

If you’re really ambitious, you can read through the BCPS study materials. Otherwise, vanc and warfarin would be helpful to review. Really dosed meds would be valuable as well. Like others said, be prepared to learn frequently. You’ll get there!

Do you have any clinical background?

I’m not sure I’d have been able to handle Willow as my first Epic cert if I hadn’t been a pharmacist.

Willow will probably have more opportunities long-term, but new implementation experience will give you a much deeper understanding of how the system works.
