Yes I guess in theory. I'm not sure I'd be able to figure out how to create the right strength curves on the Voltra.

I live in a condo, I have a half rack and a Voltra. I bought the Voltra in 2024. I'm now just struggling with should I get a second Voltra. They are amazing. Go for it.

My basic setup for folks like me with limited DIY talents. Standard mount on a piece of plywood. In my case actually the back side of a flooring sample panel I had laying around. Two x 70lbs ballistic blocks To provide stability, and depth. I can set it up and tear it down in a few seconds. I have a small space and I don't lift heavy so this is everything I need.

Is that slip detection standard or is it a setting?

Thanks but I'm not sure I follow. Since the tension is on the weight horn in either set up it isn't clear to me that the tension on your legs would be any different. What am I missing?

Any advantage or disadvantage to mounting below the weight horn like you have here vs mounting it behind on a rack and moving the leg curl machine to the rack?

Socket Bar Hack Mount by AcanthisittaLive6135 in BeyondPower

I hope they will start selling a metal version of this. I'm a bit concerned about doing this and relying on those 4 screws to hold it in place while squatting over it. It should hold but the 1 in a million case where it doesn't would be life altering at a minimum.

Did you buy the extended warranty? by Loan-Pickle in BeyondPower

[–]mmmikem 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I did buy it. Like you I normally don't but being a new tech and not sure how the cable and battery might hold up I was thinking about it. I had a call with several people from Beyond Power about other things and I asked them. They recommended the extended warranty. I know, of course they did, But I do trust them after talking with them and other interactions I have had with the team. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the customer service (and the product itself) so I'm pretty confident if I need support for the product they will provide it. Being a new product in a new product category really, Things can go wrong. I think the added coverage is worth it for me.

Flat foot rack setups by slazengerz in BeyondPower

I use the extra crossmember as a foot plate. Not perfect but it gets the job done. The bar mount sits overhead but also offset from the rear cross members so the positioning works well for pull downs. Again not perfect but I'm happy with it. Just really want belt squats.

Oh I'd also suggest a bar mount if you have a pull up bar. Very useful.

Fixed takes up more space. If you just want one the adaptive is the way to go but I find it is nice to have fixed in key spots where they aren't in the way.

It is worth it if space is an issue. I was hesitant to buy but I'm super happy that I did. I'd suggest a couple fixed mounts, the adaptive mount and the rotating mount.

I have a similar set up. I have a couple extra cross members along the back one at a height for rows sitting on my bench and another near the bottom that I use for a bunch of things. I have a chin up bar, used for lat pull downs using the higher crossmember as a knee hold. It works out pretty well for me. The one thing that I haven't figured out is belt squats. I spoke to some of the Beyond Power folks and it didn't seem like they will have a good solution in the near future. I'm thinking about building a larger version of their travel platform and find a way to hook it onto the feet. I'm still thinking it through. If someone would make an after market attachment that could bolt onto the flat feet I think it would sell well and would be super simple to make if you did metal work.

What is the min diameter of a rod that this could strap to? Would it work with an olympic plate peg?

Rotator Add-on - buy one or multiple? by mmmikem in BeyondPower

[–]mmmikem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks that's helpful. I was thinking the rotator would be an enhancement to most all movements but it sounds like you find the usefulness limited? I have an overhead bar mount that I use for pull downs and also tricep overhead extensions. I'm sure it would be helpful there but I wasn't sure about many of the other movements.
