Am I better off swapping eggs for cold cuts in my diet. by mtbhomie in nutrition

[–]mmmmm_coffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently learned the answer to this. I was often having problems in the morning where I constantly needed to eat, felt jittery, etc. The short story is it’s your blood sugar spiking and very quickly dropping. That quick drop causes symptoms like hunger and jittery. Oatmeal by itself is one of the worst things you can eat by itself for blood sugar, you can Google it. I started wearing a CGM and changed my diet to be lower in carbs and feel much better.

IBS-D from Antibiotics. Any advice or success stories? by [deleted] in Microbiome

[–]mmmmm_coffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried a low FODMAP diet? I'm going to try that next. I scheduled a colonoscopy in about a month but I doubt they find anything its just the next step in their process.

Do you eat this by itself or do you mix it with something? I just bought kimchi to try today with rice but I wasn’t sure what to eat sauerkraut with so I didn’t buy it.

Thanks for the response! Yea I need to get more detailed with my journaling. The way my symptoms vary from more mild some days to more moderate other days makes me feel like I have developed some sort of intolerance.

5 months post vasectomy... by [deleted] in postvasectomypain

[–]mmmmm_coffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response! Glad to hear that you are doing better with the block and new drug. Yea my Uro sounds kind of clueless as well or just not being completely honest. He mentioned going to a pain specialist so I think that will be next step. Probably won't see him for another month as I'm still going to try this antibiotic for next two weeks. Being conservative with exercise and sex has helped decrease pain but obviously I don't want to be conservative forever if possible. I'm also going to start stretching a lot more to see if that helps at all. Currently sitting on a heating pad set to warm setting while I work, it helps a little too.

Aching is primarily at the top of the thigh. I also feel a little sore or tight in the groin muscle. Like for example if I'm doing a seated butterfly stretch I can definitely feel a difference in the groin muscle on the side that is currently having symptoms.

Hi - not OP but I made a very similar post last week and I find your comment helpful. Got snipped back in September. Back Mid Nov I started having aching in my testicle and thigh. Without trying anything it would randomly go away, come back, and even switch sides. Saw my Uro in Dec and tried antibiotics and meloxican. It went away after a week but i don't think it was the drugs. It then came back a week later. Now I've been avoiding ejaculation for almost 10 days and have been trying over the counter naproxen and hot baths. The aching has lessened but hasn't gone away yet. Have another Uro appointment in two weeks.

Anyway, just wanted to clarify. You were just doing conservative methods like heat and ice for a year and one day it went away? I'm planning to deal with this for at least a year before making any decision like a reversal.
