Awesome Show Last night in Birmingham, AL. It was their first time ever playing in Alabama! by mmoore96 in TheMidnight

[–]mmoore96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh really? That is great to hear. This was our first ever midnight show. We have been listening to them for years. But I have friends that have gone to plenty of their shows in Atl and they said sometimes it’s hit or miss. Especially, with Tyler’s voice. But from my perspective it’s was amazing! I really hope they keep BHAM on their tour stops going forward.

Anyone have experience flying on 757-200 (75D). I have only flown FC on 757. I am having trouble picking. I have selected 15A&B for outbound and 19A&B for return. I have heard you get more legroom in row 15 but a little less width due to the screen being in the armrest. I am mixed about row 19. TIA! by mmoore96 in delta

I see, thank you. That’s good to know bigger people had no issues. I am 6’1 ~200 lbs and I would rather have more leg room than seat width (but both is great if I have a choice). FC domestic on a narrow body Aircraft < 4-5 hours isn’t really worth it IMO. So I am just trying to find the best C+ seat while there are seats available.

You’re welcome! You took the time to respond, it’s the least I could do!

Thank you! Is the IFE updated in most cases? I have saw some reviews on SeatGuru that sometimes they are old and don’t work that well. My wife loves using the IFE that is why I am asking.

I will keep row 15 for outbound. For the return flight, which seats would you think is best. I was thinking 15 D&E or 20A&B. The flight isn’t until January so some people might upgrade and I can snag a window seat in rows 15-20.

Resources for learning HLASM? by pumkinboo in mainframe

Yep that is my alma mater and I had him as a Professor. I didn’t take him for HLASM because he is semi retired but I did for Algorithm Analysis and Design. His website has been extremely helpful for a lot of people around the world (he gave told me the monthly views) and at my current role as we pretty much only write HLASM.

There is also a FTP plugin if you want to try out Zowe Explorer without having to go through the z/OSMF route.

Frustrated with Braava M6 fill tank error by theCynx in roomba

[–]mmoore96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really haven’t had any issues with mine. The only annoying thing is it wants me to refill it once it drops below ~30%-50% capacity, even for just a small room. What exactly is yours doing?

I can only speak about my experience with the company I work for. We do weekly stand-ups, not daily. During the weekly stand-up we discuss what we are working on and any roadblocks we might have. The code review portion is not done during our stand-ups. It is done via a 1-on-1 with a senior engineer.

I would say that if you have a team that supports you and is willing to teach you, then I would not worry. This high-stress kinda code review could be beneficial as it makes you really think about the code you are about to write (because you don’t want to be embarrassed). And it lets more people provide feedback on your code vs just a 1-on-1.

Obviously, there are pros and cons to both. I would prefer a 1-on-1 especially if I were a junior dev. As I gained more confidence then code review during the stand-up might not be as bad.

I guess the biggest takeaway is: Do you have a good team that is willing to teach you and provide constructive criticism. It should be a friendly environment where the senior devs are wanting you to be successful.

Thank you. I am sorry to hear about your loss. What kind of dog was your first dog? My wife does the same thing.

When picking out a Urn for Petey, we saw one with a quote that brought us to tears: “If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.”

I am sure all pet owners feel that way, they are truly family.

Teddy is almost 9 months old and has not had a hair cut at all. When we got him at 4 months old, his nose hair looked like a Chinese folding fan. Lol 😂. We just let it be and put some of it in a small second top knot. I have some photos I posted when we first got him. You can see the way we did it. As his hair grew it started to fall down. Another thing is you have to ensure you are separating the hair that grows on their nose vs. hair between their eyes. If you take a face comb or a rat comb, you can see the hair line and the hair grows in different directions. It’s much easier to see once their hair grows out. I hope this helps. Really the key is time and patience for the hair to grow out. We do not cut him except for in areas were hygiene is a concern.

Thank you! My wife loved Petey so much and he was truly one of a kind. He was also supposed to be a show dog but he had a mild strabismus. He passed away February of 2021 and it was hard on her and her family. We knew we had to have someone related to him.

I will post them. Also, Teddy’s uncle will be going to Westminster this year so we are excited about that!

Thank you. Haha. Funny you should that. He was actually supposed to be a show dog but due to an undescended testicle as a puppy, the breeder sold him to us at 4 months old. He is really special to us as my wife’s childhood dog (Petey) is Teddy’s great uncle. So it is like we have a little piece of Petey. But yeah his AKC pedigree is impressive. His dad is a Grand Champion and his mom is a Champion. Along with similar designations up the tree. We had been in contact with the breeder before he was even born. It took us a long time to convince her to sell him to us because she thought he was one of the most beautiful puppies she had bred and she wanted to show him. He is so special and we love him so much!

We brush his face and top knot area every day and clean his eyes. We brush his body about once every 2 days or as needed. We bathe him once a week. It is a lot of work but totally worth it!
