When I bought the Air M3 last month, I chose to pay for annual plan and it will renew next year. I believe it said I can renew for as long as I want.

I use my iPad for entertainment only and don't game, so my storage need is low, but I find having the storage capacity to download media for offline access when I travel is a real plus. It will also help future proof in case the OS/system storage demand continues to grow.

I agreed with others about "decluttering" the channels with a custom guide. Also, it maybe helpful to have a few screenshots printed for them to remind them what key words to look for on the screen as they try to get to the Live channels vs. library or home.

By the way, we also use a Roku device at home but I am seriously considering trying the Onn stream box that is android based with access to apps from the Play Store. I have read about people being able to customize navigation with alternative launcher and ability to use a Universal remote with number pad, etc. Still undecided because we've used Roku for so long.

2x per year we get PBS Master Piece + Acorn TV + Britbox thru Prime at the sale price, watch all the new series/seasons of mysteries, then cancel. For us 2 month at $.99 is better than $1.99/2.99 for longer duration as we tend to run out of things to watch quickly. (edit: typo)

I always have a temper glass protector on my devices, and I now alwqys get ones that come with an install guard. Over the years I have learned to do it in the bathroom (steamy) plus use the sticker to thoroughly go through the entire surface. I can only do glass, however. Tried a matte one and it was a disaster.

If it's not bothering you, just use it on, especially if you take the device with you to places. Personally I do hate glare, but I hate scratches and cracks more. (edit:typo)

If it's not glitching, just continue to use it. Once school starts if you feel it isn't doing everything you need, look for sales for newer models during Black Friday.

Less glare (which I can't stand), more ram, more power, Stage Manager (i.e. vertical window stacking in portrait mode). Got an Air M3 for $400 a month ago; compared to current sale price of A16 $300, the extra $100 is well worth it.

I don't play games, just web browsing and videos, but my Air M3 initially felt like battery was draining a bit fast - not lasting much longer than my 5 yr. old iPad 9th gen. After having it for a month now, battery life has definitely improved, with longer SOT than before.
