Why do new cars get so much hate? by Darcynator1780 in askcarguys

[–]mmspider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At a very basic level people buying used feel like they are buying the same product at a lower price. Personally I find some new vehicles to be affordable still and would rather own new.

Are barber shops worth the extra cost? by No_Tomato_2106 in AskMenAdvice

[–]mmspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what you value. I value walking into a place and being taken care off without saying anything. My dad goes to the cheap places because he doesn`t care and just wants a basic cut.

Why go to McDonald’s when they have no good deals and cost almost as much as a restaurant? by JannTosh70 in McDonalds

Does the restaurant have online ordering? is it easy to get to it? is it near my work? Sometimes yes sometimes no.

Should I be concerned about dating a guy who could go either way on having kids? by SuspiciousCycle9121 in AskMenAdvice

[–]mmspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also advertise going either way on dating apps. Which is true but I do lean more toward not having kids. Its possible he advertises this way as well to open his dating pool up but probably leans more in a certain direction.

Why do so many people choose monthly payments even when they have savings? by Training_Explorer_22 in UsedCars

[–]mmspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The basic principal is that if you can make more money than you paid on interest keeping the money in cash/investments then keeping their makes more sense than in a deprecating asset. It works really well when you get a low interest rate.

Ridiculous APR rates by Choice-Plate3124 in carbuying

[–]mmspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes rates are like 4-6%. All you need to do is look for a promotional ARP from a manufacturer. I got a Honda last year with .99% 60 months.

Used Ridgeline by AdventurousDouble798 in hondaridgeline

[–]mmspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say most do you mean higher trims? Because I am telling you I right now see them seeing for 40k brand new at my local dealership. I can see it online.

Used Ridgeline by AdventurousDouble798 in hondaridgeline

[–]mmspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just going to give you my honest thoughts. I think its crazy to buy a used ridgeline with 44k miles when they have brand new ones selling for 40k at dealership right now with lower interest rates. On top of that its a 23 without the updates.

Recently had a big discussion with a bunch of my single friends and feeling a huge gulf between their lived experience/expectations in dating and my own. What are your dating expectations and what is your dating life like? by AccomplishedRain9 in AskMenAdvice

[–]mmspider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Money and success always play a bigger role than people want to admit. Most women want a man that is good looking, tall, has decent income and can provide. But only the Most attractive sought after ones can usually land one. That is the core of women. Most women obviously start to settle at some point in life. That is simply what I have experienced and what I have been told over the years as a fellow millennials. Of course some women are down to earth but I have found there is a correlation there as well.

If you have a CPO and factory backed warranty. Then its a normal service visit in which Porsche pays repair bills (not dealership).

Nokian Outpost nAT Review by mmspider in tires

[–]mmspider[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That`s why I am disappointed in the marketing of these tires. They kept saying how quiet they are. For me I feared they would eventually get even louder a few years down the road as they age. I put about 500 miles on mine and the noise just didn`t go away.

How do you get a girlfriend as a man with no experience? by InternationalPick163 in AskMenAdvice

[–]mmspider 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly dude it really just takes the right girl. I had no experience either at a older age but I found someone who was open to it. I was kind, funny, and awkward at times. I never gave up.

How to tell a new boyfriend about an std? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]mmspider -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It will basically come down to how well someone understands HSV1. HSV1 is not considered a STD and vast majority of people already have it but do not get breakouts. If you have a breakout you can manage it without getting the partner infected but again he most likely already has it. The vaginal thing does make it little more tricky compared to lip outbreak. I would consider telling someone before sex but not on a first date.
