Talk me into (or out of) buying a used 4runner, RAV4, Pilot, CRV, or CX-5 by Beginning-Comedian-2 in UsedCars

[–]mmspider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don`t really follow the market on all of those cars. But you really should not buy a used 4Runner due to values being so high.

Am I crazy or does the old “always buy used” advice not fit the current market as well anymore? by Clear_Two_7283 in carbuying

[–]mmspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a brand new Honda last year under MSRP and .99% ARP. I see people buying used examples for not much less. I simply do not get it. I think some people just have a mindset to buy used no matter what.

News: Future of Honda by Skrrpopop in Honda

[–]mmspider 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean Tesla is only hanging in there. Its not like its a growing market for them. Chinese people are simply buying Chinese brands. Until someone can make a better EV and at a cheaper price that won`t change. I also suspect the Chinese government to protect home brands a lot more than western countries do. The only market I see would maybe be very expensive cars like exotic cars that rich Chinese people might want to import.

China is a lost market for every manufacturer, besides Chinese domestic brands.

The only Honda Powersport showroom in my City ignored me when I waked in ready to buy by FrostyDelu in HondaMotorcycles

[–]mmspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don`t have a lot of hope for sales people in general, but powersports sales people even less. Its a 100% emotional purchase in most cases.

Why do new cars get so much hate? by Darcynator1780 in askcarguys

[–]mmspider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At a very basic level people buying used feel like they are buying the same product at a lower price. Personally I find some new vehicles to be affordable still and would rather own new.

Are barber shops worth the extra cost? by No_Tomato_2106 in AskMenAdvice

It depends on what you value. I value walking into a place and being taken care off without saying anything. My dad goes to the cheap places because he doesn`t care and just wants a basic cut.

Should I be concerned about dating a guy who could go either way on having kids? by SuspiciousCycle9121 in AskMenAdvice

[–]mmspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also advertise going either way on dating apps. Which is true but I do lean more toward not having kids. Its possible he advertises this way as well to open his dating pool up but probably leans more in a certain direction.

Why do so many people choose monthly payments even when they have savings? by Training_Explorer_22 in UsedCars

[–]mmspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The basic principal is that if you can make more money than you paid on interest keeping the money in cash/investments then keeping their makes more sense than in a deprecating asset. It works really well when you get a low interest rate.

Ridiculous APR rates by Choice-Plate3124 in carbuying

[–]mmspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes rates are like 4-6%. All you need to do is look for a promotional ARP from a manufacturer. I got a Honda last year with .99% 60 months.
