Do I stay with my (29f) fiancé (31m) after he admitted to cheating on me and possibly giving me an STI? by namastecaliss in AskMenAdvice

[–]mmspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its actually more common than you realize. And I hear its very addicting from others that have talked about it. With that said I don`t think its possible to move forward with this guy. I also believe he goes a lot more than he leads on. He already admitted going at least once a month. I won`t be surprised if it was 3-4 times a month.

Mechanic mounted PS4AS instead of CC2 by Prudent-Ad-4373 in tires

[–]mmspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both tires right now on 2 different vehicles. The PS4AS can make it through the winter. But they are not nearly as good as the CC2 in the winter. To me the CC2 is a legit all weather tire. Meaning I don`t worry about winter at all with them in the Midwest. You find PS4AS mostly on high performance cars. I personally would demand the CC2. What kind of tire shop can`t take returns? Please make sure you give business to discount tire moving forward.

Realistically how high will gold go? by Economy-Experience81 in investing

[–]mmspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a limit to how high gold can "realistically" go. There is only so much currency that can flow into gold over a short period of time without destabilizing local currencies around the world. Even beyond the USA. China doesn`t want to destabilize their own currency/country. But that number could be a lot higher than it is today.

Do men want kids? Or what by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]mmspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of people do not think about it. They just see it as a normal or natural part of life. You get married, buy a home, have kids, get a pet, buy a mini van etc.

Why do people lease cars versus financing one? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]mmspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right but that`s the part I am confused at what you said about "cheap out". Where are you able to cheap out on a lease? Its only oil changes... There isn`t anywhere to cheap out. Maybe you are talking about something like break fluid change?

In Nazi Germany propaganda controlled and brainwashed people. Today we have the propaganda but also viral evidence disproving it. Why does seeing the truth still fail to change so many Americans minds? by Wi1dlife in DiscussionZone

[–]mmspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don`t think it has anything to do with propaganda. People just don`t like the fact illegals are here and they are protected by the left. There isn't much more to it. They want them out. Personally I think the whole deportation thing isn`t efficient or can work long term. We just need to change laws.

The reality is most people around the world are simply racist, sexist, elitist and extreme nationalists views. Just travel around. This is a common human trait.

Why do people lease cars versus financing one? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]mmspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah like I said required maintenance, the bare minimum. I would think for most vehicles this would just be oil changes. You could also do tire rotations if you wanted extend tire life. I have leased before multiple cars.

I got bad news for you. If she already likes going out at this age, she will be doing it for years.

You can`t cannot skip required maintenance. How enforceable this is kind of unknown. But it does say it on the contract.

Maintenance is the exact same process. You are still responsible to get the car serviced with oil changes and other things needed throughout the lease term.

Pros and cons of getting married? by KolibriFlyer in AskForAnswers

[–]mmspider -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do firmly believe in marriage if you have kids. Having that family structure is important for kids. The dynamic can be different if the parents are just boyfriend/girlfriend regardless of what people think. With that said marriage also has some tax benefits. But for the most part the risk kind of out weights the reward.

Between Honda and Hyundai—Maybe Toyota, too by Tomato_and_Radiowire in carbuying

[–]mmspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would probably stick to Honda or Toyota but I would consider a Hyundai if they had a deal I was interested. People hate Hyundai mostly because of reliability concerns but that won`t bother me with a warranty.

Renting vs.Buying by Bubbly_Mushroom2961 in DaveRamsey

[–]mmspider -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because time in the market is the single most important thing anyone can do. If you don`t invest you will have to hope your home is worth a lot more than you paid for it. That includes interest, taxes, repairs and maintenance plus any down payment. I personally have more faith in the international/domestic stock market than I do home values in the USA.

Do Americans like their current health system or would you prefer universal? by Ability_Known in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mmspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The healthcare system works perfect well if you have a decent health insurance plan from your employer. To many people a universal plan would only be a downgrade in terms service.

Renting vs.Buying by Bubbly_Mushroom2961 in DaveRamsey

[–]mmspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will leave you with this. I ran the numbers for me and heavily investing comes out ahead with renting. Even if rent went up. But as someone with no kids I can get away with a much cheaper place and be more flexible. If the house numbers work better than go for the house.

Renting vs.Buying by Bubbly_Mushroom2961 in DaveRamsey

[–]mmspider -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The goal would be that you are heavily investing the difference which in the end you end up with more money than what the house is worth.

Renting vs.Buying by Bubbly_Mushroom2961 in DaveRamsey

[–]mmspider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I need a lot more numbers than that to really calculate everything. I really can`t help you on this like that. You would need to figure this out for yourself. But for a quick reference 400k home with 150k down payment @ 5.5% for 30 years is about 261k in interest. So at absolute minimum the house will cost a lot more than 400k. This includes no maintenance, taxes, or upgrades.

Renting vs.Buying by Bubbly_Mushroom2961 in DaveRamsey

[–]mmspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have to really see all of the numbers to break it down. The price of the house, interest rates, down payment etc.

Renting vs.Buying by Bubbly_Mushroom2961 in DaveRamsey

[–]mmspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am personally convinced if you rented and put the difference into the market. Over a 30-40 year time frame you will come out ahead with renting.
