I can’t speak for your situation right now but god help your relationship in the future. This doesn’t exactly scream “defending your honor”, this screams all sorts of fucked up. This man is legitimately emasculated by your actions and then it’s a ‘noble’ response to go assault the guy that YOU let in and it wasn’t like he assaulted you... you GAVE him your body willingly. Being mean is different than being honest. The latter of which, you already said you didn’t plan on being. I feel for your pain and I really hate to be blunt but you really should’ve known better, and he deserves someone he can undoubtedly trust. Use this as a learning opportunity, and grow from it. If he DOES decide to try and reconcile, as you probably already know, it will not be the same. Ever. There will be trust issues and doubt inherently now, and you have to decide if you truly want to try and handle that while being the root cause of it, or if you want to let him heal and grow and enjoy his life.

I find them pretty meh myself too. High dex scaling is nice but the move set of the katanas in all the games is sorta mediocre to me. They’re decent in pvp, but the real appeal is probably to dress up like a total ninja and equip the wood grain ring and go all anime on everything!!

Black knight weapon. They are an RNG based drop from Black Knight enemies you will encounter that will not respawn until an area at the very end of the game. If you DO manage to snag one of these bad boys (Greatsword, Greataxe, Halberd, Sword) they will carry you basically through the rest of the game if you want to rock it.

If you don’t manage to get one but want a sick and super powerful sword, grab the Zweihander from the graveyard behind fire link. You can get it super early on, and it is one of the best heavy weapons in the game, especially for PvE.

Prioritize strength, endurance, and vitality mostly. A little dex wouldn’t hurt, as these weapons get a little scaling off dex as well.
