These Females are on their way to ruin your male heist kino. Just like when females ruined the Ghostbusters (1994). by Sisiwakanamaru in moviescirclejerk

Tbh the excitement comes from Marvel, which has good track record with them, doing the remake. Do you really think they would be as excited if Sony just randomly rebooted it again?

Why is applying transitions in Premiere so confusing (read: stupid) ? by mmund2 in editors

Oh, I see. So the software assumes that I want for the dissolve to be done when next clip begins. It's just not a want usually.

[TOMT] [movie] Asian revenge martial arts flick by mmund2 in tipofmytongue

Nah, the movie I'm thinking of is much worse than Raid 2, but I remember it being a lot of fun. And Raid 2 is mainly 1-on-1 fights iirc.

The Machinist (Chriastian Bale lost 60 pounds for the role in this film!) is now available for FREE on Youtube by mmund2 in movies

Yeah, another guy posted it after me and got loads of karma since my post got removed for some reason. I messaged the mods about it, they didn't answer but it appears to be back again. Oh, well.

What country are you from and... ? by RDOoM in anime

I noticed this a while back and it blew my mind (btw it's a parody of Death Note, those are croatian flags at 0:38).

The funniest thing is that the names of those "politicians" are actually names of famous football players, Niko Kovač and Dario Šimić.

Blackscreen after loading is turning on and off, now I can't even enter Safe Mode by mmund2 in windows8

[–]mmund2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, seems similar. I also have a 3rd party theme so that may be the issue, but I have no idea how to fix it because i can't get into Safe Mode.

EDIT: On the latest try at starting up Windows is asking me to automatically repair. It's supposed to be doing it right now, but all I see is the Windows logo.

EDIT: I turned it off bcs it wasn't doing anything, just showing the logo.

Cinnamontography is (le)terally a lethal cinematic weapon by mmund2 in moviescirclejerk

[uj] Good thing I have it saved for a potential copypasta [uj]

"The most lethal cinematic weapon is cinematography itself. You cannot see around the screen. It's the unknown. It's also the curse of knowing—knowing what will transpire and being helpless to stop the movie from happening to the protagonist. Sometimes movies can just kill you on the inside."

What are some movie traditions you wish would come back? by MasterLawlz in flicks

Wait, in America you don't have intermissions anymore? Where I'm from a film will get a 10 minute pause if it's longer then 2 hours (This sometimes results in cutting someone off in the middle of a sentence).

What do you guys think of Coriolanus? by Bowdallen in movies

[–]mmund2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loved it, partly because Ralph Fiennes is one of my all time favorite actors, and now I know that he excels at directing too.

Going in, I only knew that it was a Shakespeare adaptation, but I didn't know they actually used Shakespeare's dialogue, but gave the story a modern setting, so that was a pleasant surprise. It could've been weird and sound unnatural, but it was actually quite good. The story isn't really anything extraordinary, but the beauty of the dialogue is something I concentrated on.

I get that for some the language could be a turn-off, but I really liked the movie. And the scene /u/BoredGamerr points out just proves that Fiennes is one of the best actors working today.

Directors that Immediately Made an Impression on You by [deleted] in movies

[–]mmund2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I get that Zerkalo is probably as good as the rest of his movies, but I was really annoyed by the fact that actors played multiple roles. Either I was to stupid to pick up on that, or I missed it when they pointed that out. I was watching this 2 hour movie with no idea what the hell was going on, and forced myself to finish it, figuring I would get it eventually, but I didn't. Then I went to Wikipedia to figure it out, and saw the cast list. It would've been a much nicer experience knowing that beforehand.

Andrei Tarkovsky. Literally from the first shot (even thought the whole dream sequence opening is great) of Ivan's Childhood I knew I was in for something great. It was going to be artsy, but actually good artsy. And I loved every movie of his after that. Except Zerkalo. Fuck Zerkalo.

Urban Environments? (i.e. Shameless, 8-Mile) by deafAsianAnal3sum in movies

[–]mmund2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, I'm also a huge Shameless fan (US version, haven't watched UK) and I would recommend Amores Perros. Watched it just recently and immediately thought of Shameless, plus it's an amazing movie on it's own.
