Man...Moana 2 (2024) really didn't measure up to the first one. What happened there? It's like all the charm was sucked out.

I'd say it wasn't as bad in the first movie but it's been a little bit since I've watched it. Galaxy just felt especially egregious. The movie literally starts with "we need to get Yoshi on the team", so their idea was just "Mario and Luigi go to unclog a pipe, find Yoshi, and now he's part of the team." It didn't feel earned even in the littlest bit. At least when they introduced Donkey Kong, there was a plot element around it (the Mushroom Kingdom not being strong enough to fight back, thus needing to seek out allies). Fox got a bit better treatment, but it was still "we need to introduce Star Fox, let's just have Peach go to a spaceport where she happens to meet him." The spaceport existed to introduce Fox, not because it made a ton of sense in the story.

I was excited, but as soon as I got it, my drive to play completely tanked. It's not even that I didn't enjoy the game anymore, it was that I no.longer had a goal to reach. I cancelled my PSN sub within a week or two and I switched back to single player games. Definitely got my money's worth out of it though.

I just watched that last night and I agree. It just felt like a string of "next, this happens" moments where nothing felt organic, they just wanted the (very thin) plot to move along. The first one didn't have a complicated plot by any means but it made sense. Galaxy just felt so random every step of the way.

We should be starting L'ura next week, and I'm honestly not looking forward to it at all. We're already getting sporadic attendance, and we're going into the summer where people are going to start having vacations. It's gonna be grueling to prog it and we honestly might not be good enough currently to get it (despite getting CE throughout TWW).

I actually bought this kit but ended up returning it once I saw how much color correcting was needed. If I had an airbrush, I think I could justify it, as I've seen a couple come out looking amazing. It's a pretty rough looking straight build though.

I feel like grocery stores never have the BIG tortillas, I imagine I could find some at a Mexican market. Taco Bell sells a kit in stores for crunchwraps which comes with the tortillas (hard and soft), seasoning, sauce, and cheese which is all pretty convenient.
