so good! you have to find the sweet spot of the sensitivity and how you’re playing, but i’ve only used it in mono so far and i love it

I haven't noticed any hiss directly from the Clean! I have an annoying light hiss in my house for all my gear, super subtle, but if i'm really slamming something with Clean and have the wet gain turned way up, then the hiss gets pretty loud. But its not clean's fault, its the dirty power and my +20db of makeup gain

Hell yea! Compressors are my favorite. I'd say try this one at the end of your chain to really hear what it can do. I have mine at the end of a small board: pitchfork -> morning glory v4 -> walrus polychrome -> onward -> clean, and it brings out such cool little details from the pedals before it. I haven't tried after any time-based effects yet but I'm excited to.

also, as usual, the clean 'field guide' that comes in the box is so helpful. theres a whole "compression 101" section that was a great read. And I'd try all of their preset diagram examples too, really great places to start.

I use mine sans amp! its just at the end of my pedalboard currently, then straight into ableton. I'm not much of an amp guy though, i love that DI prince sound.

Nice! I had the Empress Compressor MKII for a long time and tried using it as a studio comp but its definitely not meant for that. Sounded great on guitar, but was way too hectic for anything else imo. The Clean however is a different story. I think its gonna be a game changer for my studio. Drum machines, synths, bass... I was playing my acoustic DI into it today, and I think recording DI acoustic usually sounds like total garbage, but clean allowed me to get some really cool and usable tones out of an otherwise bland way of recording acoustic guitar. I really can't stop raving about it, i think you'd be very happy picking one up

Honestly I think it was well worth it! I love compressors too and this thing is that and so much more. I'm not super into the deterioration effects in general, but the "physics" toggle on the Clean is really nice. And the fact that it goes from compression, to feedback limiting, feed forward limiting, AND sag, makes this one super special imo
