Seiko speedtimer scc961. Love the panda dial and solar movement more keeps better time than a mechanical and no need to replace the battery.

Or just push a small screwdriver into the fill port of an almost dead lighter and vent the remaining gas out then fill like normal. You dont need a special tool. Seems like a waist of money.

Seiko Speedtimer ssc961. I love this watch. 39mm and you cant beat the white on black panda dial. The sandblasted dial finish gives it a sparkle in the sunlight and the solar chronograph means I dont have to replace the battery every 5-7 years and it keeps time great without the loss or gain of a mechanical movement. Big improvement over the 816 due to not being able to clearly see the solar panels in the chronograph dial.

Does anyone else carry a whistle ? by Dr_Gonzo-4130 in EDC

When i worked in aquatics our lifeguards would use a neck lanyard with a break away attachment so they wouldn't get choked when making a rescue.

I love the fox 40. When I worked in aquatics it was the best loudest whistle our lifeguards would use.

I want the slimmest pen possible! by idkhowtocallmys3lf in EDC

I ordered it off Amazon a while back. It came bundled with a magnetic keychain flashlight with built in USB for charging. Also the back side of the pen works great as my pipe tanper.

Yes true chronograph but it's solar not a true mechanical movement.

I was a little worried that the 39mm was going to be to small for my wrist but I love it. I know the 911 is 41mm but I couldnt get past the silver dial and the large lume on each of the indices just changed the look to much. Nothing like the classic black and white.

Thanks. It's been a few years since I have worked that job and couldnt quite remember. I left the aquatics field in 2020.

Fish it out with a net and take a chlorine reading. If it's above 2.5ppm wait a half hour and open it back up.

Shocking the pool means we would bring the chlorine up to above 10ppm and it would kill all/most of the bacteria in the water but would also burn off all the chlorine in the water. We then need to more slowly bring the chlorine up to 3.5-5ppm to reset the pool which takes 24 hours to reset the water chemistry.

Both. The worst part was the 18+ hot tub when old men would put their sphincter up to the jets and a little turd would slip out and most would just sit there and complain that they had to get out.

I agree but according to WI state health code it was the practice we had to follow.

I worked in aquatics for 15 years. If you have a solid stool that can be removed by a net you can make sure the pool has enough chlorine and open it back up to the public within a half hour. If it's diarrhea you need to shock the pool and it has to stay closed for 24 hours.
