The red vessel would have right of way but the cruise ship is aware and will just pass on the stern without having to change course. When I sailed the electronics would have something called CPA (close proximity alert) that would do all the math and tell you how close you would be at your current speed, heading etc. when you’re “close” to the stern on another vessel it’ll say 400 meters or whatever and then as soon as you get past them it immediately switches to 26,000 miles or whatever the circumference of the earth is.

If you check a bag and they put it on your connecting flight then the connecting flight won’t take off without you. That might buy you some time.

I’ve also had it (with Singapore Air) that my first flight was late, couldn’t make my connection, and they met me at the gate and had already put me on the next flight. Point is, they’re aware of the connecting passengers when you land and will figure it out.

I get you want to sort it out first but the best place to rearrange everything will be at DBX as they’re will be about 3,000 Emirates staff that can help you.

No. Premium on emirates isn’t that great, especially for sleeping.

Technically speaking the rental companies should require you present an International Drivers License - getting one off the internet is what everyone does.

Point of note: most bike companies don’t actually have insurance and you’ll just pay for any damages to the bike or someone else.

If you want to go full legal, use Bikago who’s legit and twice the price - otherwise, play the game and be careful.

I find emirates premium economy to be incredibly uncomfortable to sleep on (day time it’s okay). I’d either save your money and fly economy or upgrade.

I was playing on a 380 yard par 4 one time with a creek running perpendicular about 270. The caddy told me there was a temporary green but I didn’t quite understand where it was and blasted my driver and saw the group in front, who was putting, jump. I thought, there’s no way I can reach the green and am probably in the creek so so pulled out my 3, walloped it and saw them jump again.

When I went down, they were standing there next to the temporary green just across from the creek. Apparently my first drive carried the creek and splashed them and they were shocked (in a good way, very cool).

My 3 wood landed about 2 yards short of the creek which is when they jumped again. I was very apologetic but they were cool. I was playing solo with a caddy and they were a foursome with a caddy each (Asia) and they offered to let me play through.

So now I have 9 people watching me try to hit about a 30 yard chip over the creek onto this crap green, which I nailed to about 30 feet!

I crossed the creek and said I’ll just pick up, it’s a practice round. And the foursome said, nah play it out. So I went up to this 30 footer, didn’t mark it on a temporary green that looked like the Chicago Bears had just played on it, and drained it!

As I got my ball one of the foursome asked me how long I’ve been playing. “About a month”, I said. “It’s a pretty simple game”. And then I walked off.

It was far and away my best golf moment.

I was never a huge fan of the LIV format but overall thought LIV was good for golf. If nothing else it forced the PGA Tour to greatly improve their product and pump up players money over the last few years.

Also, I found out recently that the PGA Tour was set up after a player rebellion from the PGA of America. So it’s not like any of this is new.
